  1. My first thought was low Vit D or B levels.

What if the recovery is worse than with my band? What if it doesn't work, just like the band? They're small things that I know the answer to, but the control freak in me doesn't like them!

I'm SO ready for Tuesday to get here! I'm just freaked out about the what if's.
  4. There are mixed opinions on this product, but I really love Syntha 6 in chocolate peanut butter. It's the ONLY one I enjoy drinking.
  5. I told you he wouldn't yell at you! Dr Rice is great. And good job on the loss!

    Any May Sleevers Yet?

I'm in San Antonio, a band to sleeve revision. I'll turn 25 ten days after surgery! I've got 90-110lbs to lose, depending on who you ask.

    Any May Sleevers Yet?

    I'm scheduled for May 1!
  8. I'm pretty close to you on all of that, except my surgery is May 1!

    Ugh The Smell

I have no advice. I've never ever been able to tolerate the protein shakes. They smell and taste horrid. The ONE that I like isn't even all that good for you.
  10. I went in today for my pre-op appointments. My surgery was scheduled for the 27th of this month, and they moved it to April 24th. Part of me is disappointed that it's not next week like I'd planned, but the other side of me is happy, because this makes it easier to get people that can help me post-op. Either way, I've got a new surgery date!

    Surgery Date Moved

I was already well into my pre-op diet (and 12 lbs down!) and have been told to discontinue it until 2 weeks before the date. However, I spoke too soon. My mother is the one that's coming to town to take care of me immediately post-op. Of course, it happened that she absolutely cannot take any days off the week of my surgery. So, looks like it may be moved again. I almost wonder if these are signs that I shouldn't be having it.
  12. I really really hope they don't change sizes. I've invested quite a bit in shoes, and I'd hate to have to replace them.
  13. Guys, buy some Nioxin. I know SEVERAL people who use it for thinning hair and it works like a charm. My wonder-stylist even has her boyfriend using it for his thinning hair!

    Shiratake Noodles

NV? I typically like most things soy, so its not a flavor of soy issue for me. They're just gross.

    Shiratake Noodles

They're gross, and I love soy. The only thing they have in common with spaghetti is the shape.
  16. I've been reading this whole thread, holding by breath. I'm SO glad everything worked out for you!!! And you're absolutely beautiful!

    Wfl?

Gross strained cream soup. I'm on the pre-op.
  18. I'm feeling the same way. I already failed with a band/had a band fail for me, however you look at it. I can't even imagine myself with the weight gone. My surgery is next Tuesday and it still doesn't feel like a real thing yet.
  19. In the liquids stage, is there a way to get your protein in without drinking those vile protein shakes? I literally threw up because one was so disgusting. I find myself just drinking water instead of protein shakes, so if nothing else, I'm hydrated.

    Liquids--Protein Without Shakes?

Does the protein clump up from being added to a hot beverage? I think I'm gonna put in a big order with them! I'm so cheap, though, that I'm hating the prices!

    Liquids--Protein Without Shakes?

I've tried what seems like every single one. The only one I can tolerate is Syntha 6 pb and chocolate. I'm gonna have to try some plain whey.

    Fake Ice Cream

    This actually sounds really good!

    How Soon?

How soon after surgery did you start working out intensely? I'm active now and work out now, but I read a lot about people waiting months to start working out. What was your experience?
  24. I have my band to sleeve revision scheduled for March 27th, but the person who was supposed to take me to and from the hospital and stay with me for a couple days after is no longer able to. My husband is deployed and I don't live near any family. Literally, I have no other options. Has anyone ever driven themselves home from the hospital after this surgery? I can drop my pets off at the sitter so I won't have to walk up and down stairs multiple times by myself and bend to feed them and such. I just honestly don't remember the recovery from my band all that much, and I had my husband home to help me. Am I getting myself into something absurdly stupid, if I plan to go this alone? I'll have a couple days in the hospital, so its not like I'll be going home the day after, but I'm just running out of options now. My other option is to cancel my surgery.
