    Band slippage

Hi Can't believe I have only just found this site! 2 years 2 months post band, down to ideal weight and absolutely adamant I need to keep band - have lost weight many many times over past 30 years and always put it back on - and more. Having problems with acid reflux and have just been for barium meal and have been told band has slipped! Absolutely devastated. Had band privately but circumstances have now changed and being treated under NHS, which I have to say so far I am quite impressed with though I know that local PCT is new to all of this. I have to wait for appointment now for endoscopy so that they can check for erosion. But if there was erosion, the band would not have slipped surely? Anyone have any experience of any of this? Absolutely terrified that I will have to have band removed and will be back to square one - yo-yo weight loss/gain all over again. Slightly annoying think is that when I see anyone they say you don't look as if you need a lapband (implying that what harm would it do to have it out) - well no I don't look like it now do I!! Any experiences you have to share? Thanks.:blushing::biggrin::confused:
