Dear friends,  I joined the world of bandsters on June 30, 2009. I was one of the lucky ones and went to Monterrey, Mexico to be banded by Dr. Miguel Zapata. What an amazing experience! I am 53 years old, have been obese all my adult life and have had a couple of major surgeries in the U.S. I have never had health care like I did in Mexico. The hospital was meticuliously clean, the hospital staff was professional, kind, and generous, and my surgeon was simply put, incredible. I am available to share details of my journey with anyone who is considering banding in Mexico. I will always be thankful that I went. I'm on my way, I am progressing to soft food and have lost a good chunk of weight. I'm not a scale watcher but have committed to taking a picture once a month in the same clothes I wore the day of my procedure and will weigh every 90 days. Cheers!
