I think the same...that I didn't meet the medical criteria. But if I felt they reached this determination in error then I should submit to them an explanation on why this procedure should be considered futher. Has anyone else had to submit an additional letter to BCBS?

Yeah, I've got Angela working on it now. I did receive the rejection letter by BCBS but she is appealing it for me. Is there anything else that I can do other than beg and gravel...lol?

Hello everyone. I am a newbie to this forum but I have to ask, did anyone's BCBS insurance not cover the band surgery? My particular policy says that any sort of gastric surgery is not covered at all but then I've heard of people that did get covered even though they had the same exact insurance. I'd hate to be wasting my time with the insurance part. Thanks guys!
