  2. I haven't had any hair loss that I have noticed. But then, my losses have been very slow grrrrr. Also I do take ALOT of vitamins :smile2:

    I have alot of songs on mine, from country to hip hop, even songs from Rocky :thumbup: I have my playlists divided into categories: FAST MED NORMAL
  4. I hope it helps you, I go for my 4th fill next week. My doctor said he is always conservative with lower bmi patients. I am trying to be patient. I have really jump started my exercise now and that actually has slowed me up even more, but I fit better in my clothes so I know I am losing inches. You will be pleased, Congrats on getting your date!
  5. I did atkins just like you and since walking is encouraged ( even the first day) , I walked ALOT, kept increasing until I was walking 60 mins a day.
  6. I started with bmi 37 and now i am bmi 32. I think the fills definately make a difference. My doc is also very conservative on fills and I notice my weight loss to be much slower than those who were banded around the same time as me and were able to get more in fills. But, I am very pleased that my weight is on the downslide :blushing: I would do the band again in a heartbeat, I have never regretted it.

  8. I was banded by Dr. Redmann (same group), I lost 24 lbs with little effort, but I am not really filled yet. I only had 2 fill appts so far, but still it was pretty easy so far

    Not really much restriction yet, but then I have a very conservative doctor. I am one pound shy of my 25# loss, so I am quite happy with my decision!

    Eva, Let us know how you like it. I get bored with workouts very easily so I am always looking for something new to add!

    Mii and my Wii!

    I use wii fit to add variety. I also walk outside, do the gym and also videos. I get bored easily so I change up my workouts regularly. I mostly use the step and boxing. I also make the wii fit step more challenging by placing on top of a regular aerobic step I already owned. I really love working out with the kids using wii fit, they really like it.

    January 2010 Mile Challenge

    2 miles on wii fit and walking with my granddaughter this morning AND i walked/jogged two miles in the evening with my husband .....total of 7 miles so far.. CHA-CHING!

    December Delights 2009

    Hi everyone, I was banded in September and one lb. shy of my 25. Have you thought of starting a blog to record your success/challenges? There is a whole blog world of fellow banders and I have found it tremendously helpful. We share tips/recipes/victories and prop each other up when its needed. Whenever I get impatient or discouraged, I read back on my blog to where I started and how far I have come and its very inspirational! Congrats, you have made a wonderful life changing decision!

    I'm here to help...

    I am trying to increase my veggies, since being banded I have concentrated so much on protein that I know I am not getting nearly enough. Today I tried some steamed veggies, brocolli, carrots,sugar snap peas...I am having trouble with both the snap peas and the brocolli getting stuck. I could sure use some tips from the experienced banders on how you add veggies to their diets and which ones. Happy New Years!

    September 2009 Band Date

    I have to be honest, I didn't even glance at my bill. I paid my $30 co-pay and my insurance company paid everything else. I was just so happy to have been approved! Happy New Years!
