i am very interested in lap band. i have health new england for insurance and live in the springfield area. i know someone who is getting g.b.s. on thursday with dr.fiallo at pioneer valley surgeons. any one else use them?? any place i can go around here who doesnt have a year or more wait??!?!?! (my friend first chose baystate and her first appt, consult, was going to be the 20th..the day she is having her surgery with pvs..) just wanted some insight...im not trying to rush this too much but i also dont want to wait forever. thanks, marissa

was anyone else really scared that they will not get approved by their insurance?? im waiting for my first appt. with the surgeon. im just really scared that this is the right thing to do but it wont work out for me. i know i might be freaking out prematurely but i have a gut feeling. i really think im going to get denied. i live in mass and have health new england. im going to pioneer valley surgeons. anyone want to share anything with me about insurance?? i can give you more background if youd like. if i get denied what can i do afterwords?? thanks!! omg..you guys are amazing..im tearing up at how much support ive gotten...just people saying they will be thinking of me!! thanks tons!! i hope ill get this...my bmi is 45. going to a support meeting tonight. im going to try to ask some questions about insurance and peoples experiences. i know everyone is different but it is helping to hear how many people get approved...even after first being denied or being approved within no time. ill keep you all updated..thanks again, so much, really!! my friend has dr fiallo and said hes great. she was orig. going to go through baystate and the wait was rediculous. her first appointment with them (consult) was going to be on the 20th..and her surgery with pvs is on the 20th..lol. thank you for your input. im going to call there tomorrow and see what i can do. i heard health new england is one of the best for bariatric sur. i also have hne. will i have to supply a list of medical problems and diets/drugs ive tried?? im getting all that info together now so ill be set when i get an appt. thank you for your info!!
