Hi Riley Hey you were the same weight as me!! Dr. Fisher was our speaker today! It shocked me that I got him, and I am wondering if everyone in my class did?? Do you usually see the surgeon so quick after the orientation? What happens after tomorrow I just go on my merry way dieting and checking my weight in once in a while?

HI EVERYONE!!!!! I am finally at work after orientation. Wow. so much information! I liked Liz a lot, but I didn't like Robin very much; she rubbed me wrong. I weighed in @ 285! eeeek!! They had me keep my shoes on too. So many people had coffee, etc. and they didn't mention or make them feel bad; wish I woulda got mine!! I have my Surgeon appointment TOMORROW already!! I guess that's where they tell me how much weight to loose, etc? I have Dr. Fisher!

OMG ok I am just bringing water LOL!! I don't want to be made an example, I am too shy!!! Do you have to say your name or anything like they made me do at the info class? I was so red. I am horrible with public speaking. I am soooo excited, I am scared how much weight I will need to loose. I seriously have gained 10 lbs these weeks I have been doing my good bye to food. I am worried I won't loose the weight like they want me too!

Okay why no Starbucks, fill me in LOL! Someone told me to sneak and wear some weights, how horrible is that!! and I wont dress to light, I actually was going to, just to see how much I weigh but I catch your drift...

Good Morning Ladies!! I am SO EXCITED for orientation tomorrow! They told me to arrive @ 7:15, and the class last until 12 pm. Did everyone elses? I asked why so long and they said they rolled the meeting with a nutritionist, the surgeon, and something else all into one now. Is that new? Hope everyone is doing well! See ya!

Hello everyone!! So scanning the site I was told this: Kaiser makes you attend 6 mos. of options classes before you even get to meet with a surgeon hmmmm??? any info??

I have my Orientation next week and am curious as to how much weight they will require me to loose. How about you? -
did that hurt? i want to tat my wrist so bad but the veins scare me! -
this is my little sister...she weighed 220 pounds in 2002...she now weights 146 pounds...she lost all her weight with exercise and by changing her eating habits...no surgery...she has kept her weight off for 6 years...big sis needed a lil tool...lol

Just stopping by to say hello - I have orientation in exactly 1 week woo-hooo!! and I did verify that I WILL be weighed in, after someone told me I wasn't. I don't know about you guys before your orientation but I have been eating so bad, almost like a good bye LOL!!

I am so excited!! Kim @ Richmond Kaiser called me, my orientation is July 28th @ 7:30 am! woo-hoo that was so fast!! She told me I WONT be weighed in that day, it's when I meet the surgeon the next appointment, yet they want me to diet starting the day after orientation?? Thats confusing because if they wont use that loss towards the amount they want me to loose, doesn't it hurt me? or DO they count that? Tamra

Yup I sure did! The day she told me it was in Fremont I called and told them I am in Richmond and to send it to them!! I talked to Richmond yesterday and they have it there now, told me in a bout a week I will have my orientation date

asked my dr why the fremont referral, and her response: From: SANDRA SEIER MD Received: 7/15/09 6:08 PM Fremont is now the facility recommended for patients in this service area. Doesnt this seem weird??? I havent heard anything about this...

hmmm...if Fremont's happen on weekends it would almost work better for me so I don't miss work...maybe I will see if that's why my dr sent it there

Hi everyone, Called Richmond and had my referral sent over to them; they were unsure why my dr sent it to Fremont....weird...anyways, they told me in about a week I will hear when my orientation is. they did tell me they are every tuesday...we will seeeeee!! my dr sent me an email letting me know she sent it to fremont...i want to write back and ask why?? but i dont want to go back and forth. its in richmond now, and thats where i need it :thumbup:
