WOW, that sounds like alot of food! thanks for the memu ideas. i will be having my surgery tomorrow and was wondering how i am going to fit all the water and protein in daily. i did check out GNC.com and found that Isopure has a varity pack with 6 differnt flavors. i am thinking that i am going to drink alot of these since they have like 40 or 50 grams of protein in them. hope they taste good.

i was in the same boat as you. i have a very high BMI but didn't have any other medical issues. i was afraid that my insurance would turn me down too, which they did the first time. my doctor submitted the necessary paperwork to the insurance for my weight history for the past 2 years. it showed that my BMI was below the obese level because i was doing LA Weight Loss. after the first reject letter, i worked with my dr. office to gather more info and we went back 5 yrs of my weight to prove to insurance that i have always been "thick" the whole time. insurance approved that info after that, so i am scheduled for surgery on July 21st. keep plugging away at insurance, don't take NO for an answer!!

just think, in a couple of months, you will not have to encounter that rude lady again since you will not have to shop at Lane Bryant!

Hello everyone!
I am new at all of this and have been reading all the differnet blogs that people have been posting in preparation of being banded. I have my physical and history with the doctor on July 6th and heard that my band date is July 21st. Im getting excited and nervous all at the same time.. i was just wondering in anyone out there had been banded by Dr. Schumacher or by Kettering Bariatrics in OH? If so, can you please tell me how it all went?

Hi!
Don't worry about the Psyc evaluation... I am also covered by Cigna and had to do the 6 month PCP appts, the psyc evaluation, a nutriationist... its was ok.. i did have to appeall the first request for surgery, but after the doctor's office worked their magic, i got approved the second time. i am now 3 weeks post-op and feeling great! can't wait to get the fill in so that i can feel some restriction. Don't worry though, you will do fine thru the psyc eval.
