Hello Everyone--thank you for your suggestions! I called the surgeon's office and my surgery actually prescribed me an antibiotic, augmentin, he didnt even ask to see me. So I have been taking that and Clartin D-Walgreen's version, and I am feeling a lot better. I still feel the sinus pressure, but not as bad two days ago and nothing has gotten worse so that is great! Thank you Again!

Thank you for the encouraging words! I am on my eighth day of the liquid diet now and have lost nearly 15 lbs and only cheated that one time! Whew, did it feel good to confess! I really have heard that people who eat a few days before the surgery (especially the yummy junk stuff :nervous ) tend to have more gas pains... I am only three days away now and I cant wait!

Hello Everyone! Does anyone know where Angela has been? I miss her! Well, I am still not feeling that great, but my surgeon prescribed me some augmentin, which I wont be able to take until this afternoon, since last night Walgreens botched the prescription somehow. I am so so tired, I just want to go home and lay down! My head feels like it is in a vice!

Well that is what I am really hoping for!!!

I am soooo happy that it is near the weekend! This has been such an exhausting week. I have done 7 days of the liquid diet successfully and am happy with the weight loss, we also had parent teacher conferences this week and that has been grueling. I also started to aquire a sinus headache which really freakd me out today. I was getting all upset that I may not be able to have my surgery on Monday as scheduled, especially since I have made many special arrangements to have the date work out. My surgeon actually prescribed me an antibiotic just to stop anything from starting up more. I am taking the five day Z-pac and Claratin D, I really hope this all helps! I have really really mentally prepared myself for this surgery and I truly hope that it goes on as scheduled.

ha ha Jack that is funny, I am a fat vegetarian!! oh dear, sigh, and people have actually asked me if I chose to become a vegetarian in order to lose weight, uh...i have gained weight since i have become one over 8 years ago! I am being banded in a few days fellow veggie and i think it is totally an option, however you just really need to make sure you can get in your protein, there are many protein drink options out there! Hello everyone! My band date is coming up very very soon, in just four days! I have been doing the liquid diet now for 6 days and have lost about 9 lbs on it! It is very difficult but worth it and I think that it has been preparing me for other lifestyle changes. I am just worried that I may have to reschedule my surgery due to sinus issues. It is not uncommon for me to have sinus pressure and headaches when the weather changes, and in Chicago it does so so often. I am just worried that it will turn into a sinus infection which is not uncommon for me either....

Oh dear...I am starting to not feel that well, I am having symptoms of sinus pressure. I often get sinus headaches which at times can turn into sinus infections, I really really really hope that I do not have to reschedule my surgery. I have been trying to get ahold of my doctors to talk to someone about it and of coarse they are all out of the office this afternoon! Cross you fingers for me that I dont have to reschedule my surgery! I have become so mentally and emotionally prepared for it!

I am starting to not feel that great, I think I may be coming down with a sinus infection and I am totally worried that I may need to have my surgery rescheduled. It is not uncommon for me to have sinus headaches when the weather fluctuates as it does so often in Chicago. However, the pressure and congestion is starting to feel worse. I have been holding everything together so well until this afternoon where I just started bawling at work none the less, luckily another woman at my work who has recently been banded was there to help me! Cross your fingers that I dont have to reschedule this surgery!

BetsyJane--Glad to hear that you are back and doing well! Thank you for sharing your experience, mine is coming up really really really soon.... Amy--We are almost the same weight! Well, now i actually am 265 instead of 276, yeah for the liquid diet, even though it has been hell. I am having my surgery done in DeKalb, IL! I hope everyone is doing well!

Thank you everyone for your well wishes! Only four more days to go and this weekend shouldnt be too difficult with avoiding food. I have not cheated besides one dorrito incident last weekend, those damn dorritos! They are so good and my BF always has them in the house! He offered to take them to work after that, but I told him to keep them in the house b/c I need to get over it and be able to do this! Well, I have, no more dorritos for me and I havent cheated on anything else!! Kat- I cannot believe how cruel people can be! What nerve!!! Do you know the clerk somehow? What a bi**h

I feel like no matter how hard I try to fit in or get along with others, especially other female friends, I am always the odd one out. We will have similiar interests, experiences, a lot to talk about and share, but I am still the outsider. I am beginning to wonder if it is my excess weight that sets me apart from my "normal sized" friends. Does anyone else ever feel this way?? :help:

Wow! Thanks for the link!!! Have any of you seen Supersized...the documentary??? That is very very insightful and even has a bit on WLS!!! Sorry to say I gave into my dorrito temptation this past weekend, but I have not cheated since, I promise! It so wasnt worth it, let me tell ya!

Amy---glad to hear that you are doing so well! I hope that I have a similiar experience. I am starting to get very very nervous. Lea-Wow! that is awesome that you traveled so far for your surgery. No lapband doctors in Hawaii? I hope that you have a safe trip back home! How is it living in Hawaii?!? I bet it is wonderful!

Dianne--Thank you for the compliment! I am getting excited and nervous..and...well a whole jumble of emtions really! Only five days left ladies! Eek!

Lady Janey---Do you have a link to that cook book, such as through amazon.com. Where did you find it...that sounds wonderful!!! Karen--My sister is less than 6 months in remission. She was diagonosed just over a year ago, and then through the radiation treatment was cancer free as of july 06!! Too bad she doesnt seem to understand this surgery and is not too supportive of it... : (

Karen--thank you for your encouraging words. Glad that you liked the picture! My sister is doing ok, they are still playing a lot with her medicine to bring her thyroid levels down. She had stage 3 thyroid cancer and needed to have two surgeries and radiation. She is a survivor!!

Hello Everyone! How are you all doing? :biggrin1: This last weekend has been rather difficult with the liquid diet. A lot of deep, personal issues have arisen without being able to rely on food. It is embarrassing, scary... I love to come here and read everyones encouraging words and read about what you have been dealing with. Thank you thank you thank you.
