What do you want to do that you couldn't do before the sleeve?
Bama replied to *susan*'s topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Along with other health issues, I have polyneuropathy and I want to walk without pain and falling down. I am 10-days post op VSG. I had the surgury, because extra weight exacerbated my clumsiness and pain symptoms. While losing the weight will not cure me, it will help me to remain with my family. I want to save myself from the inevitable wheelchair that awaited my large butt. Where do large immobile people go? To a nursing home, because their well-meaning families can not manage their care. I am saving myself and my family from this horrible fate. I am hoping to toss all my heart meds, asthma meds, an tacardyia meds. I want to live life and live it fuller. A slow death is no way to go. Here's to health! -
I'm having the same soreness after 10 days...I think it is normal. I ask my doctor how would I know if I'm leaking... He said if I didn't feel a tiny bit better each day, then report it to him and he would check. That's just a cautionary avenue.

I was sleeved on 8/12/09 and have worries about the same thing. Not that it is a strong probability, but just a concern. I ask my surgeon about this and he said, yes, I could do that if I ate til I was overly full on a regular basis. Just as we stretched our tummies prior to surgery, we could stretch it again, although I don't believe to the same degree.

any bandsters in Little Rock, AR?
Bama replied to abominableglib's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hello, I'm new here... Thinking about lap band surgery in Little Rock area. I currently live in Birmingham, Alabama and will be moving whenever my house sells. I'm glad to see this someone else here from Little Rock. Question: Should I wait until I move to have surgery? It could take a year to sell my house and I don't want to wait that long, but if it is best to do so, then I would. Whadda think?
