I hadw surgery on 12/6 and am down 11lbs

I work for a mid sized hospital and just emailed my boss and said I was having surgery, one person asked and I said it was a long story and she didn't ask anymore questions.

He has never mentioned anything to mde. I think it is only done if there are problems.

I told my PCP when I got back. He said I was the only patient he had with the sleeve. I had a band before. He does blood work for vitamens every 6 months. I take supplements for B1, B12 and Vit D. No problems at all.

The person testing the whitening paid $350, but i don't know the dentist's name.

When I was there, someone had their teeth whitened. The dentist was in the same building as Dr Ortiz.

When I went to TJ for surgery we met someone at the border to pick up. They brought a cooler across the border and had no problems. People have no problems taking dollars. They are just very happy for the tip.

I thinkmtheyndomtndo plication s in the US. Basically they make a sleeve like stomach by folding the stomach like an accordion and twitch through the stomach.

I love sushi but cant eat rice. It comes right back up. Frusterating. I also cant eat bread/toast, maybe I will be able to later. I am only 2 months out.

Both A Ortiz and the Marriotts has wireless service. Not sure about other hotels. The service was very slow at the Marriotts, but it worked.

Mine was done in one surgery. They had me take all of the fluid out of the band 2 weeks before.

I dump with high quality ice cream, which isnt bad because I shouldnt be eating it anyway. I occasionaly sliime and throw up, but it is always my fault that I ate to fast, or ate rice or bread, which still dont work for me. It is nothing like having the band. I slimed all the time and threw up at least 5/week.

I have had a similar issue. I lost 18lbs total in a year of having the sleeve. I was doing everything right and even had a trainer2 days/week plus doing the treadmil a few more times. I had my surgery in TJ. My doctor was kind enough to do a plication over my sleeve for free. I can eat a lot less, but after 5 weeks I have only lost 15lbs. I havent lost any weight in the last 3 weeks.

I tried to buy some of my meds from a TJ pharmacy. The brand name one they didnt yet have. The other one is generic in the US but they only had it as a brand name and it was more expensive than what I pay for my deductable (I pay 20% copay).

I was able to go back to work after a week but took 5 weeks which is what my FMLA was written for. I enjoyed the time off and was able to eat solid food so I didn't have to hide my liquid diet.

AStevenpson, At the OOC they put compression stocking om forms day and took them off the next day. They gave one shot prior to surgery. I was there on 12/6 P.s. the stocking go half way up your thighs

Amanda, I think several doctors use a second surgeon buts don't advertise it as such because they want their name to be the marketing face. Dr A Ortiz uses de Martinez and he is one of the doctors who do the follow ups. These Dr.s are listed on the website,but De Ortiz is the name that is known.

I can't find a recipe I have seen before making mini quiches made with fake eggs. Anyone have it and willing to share?

I had a hernia that I wasn't aware of. I had heartburn a lot before. Since being sleeved and hernia repaired, no more heartburn unless I eat a lot of garlic.

I lost 2lbs on my 2 day preop and 13 since then. I am over the hill excited. I had a sleeve a year ago and only lost 12lbs in a year.i was beyond disappoiñted. It wasn't because of my diet which I followed religiously. I jad a placation over my sleeve 2 weeks ago and finally success so far. The doc felt they were not able to get a good sleeve due to scare tissue former a previous band. He also tightened up the bottom of the sleeve which I was told they usually don't. I still consider myself a sleever, because that was my primary surgery I

I cat eat rice anymore. I can live pitchout it but boy, was it a learning experience

I had the same problem after having a sleeve after a band. A year later and I only lost 18lbs. I just had a plication over my sleeve and can finally et the small meal I expected. I am 3 weeks out and have not lost what imhoped for but I know I will be fine.
