How do you Know when food is stuck? What does it feel like? Please help:eek:

So I called OHSU yesterday to talk to somebody about the problem I have been having with the protein powders. I ended up making appt with nutritionist. I went in and the nutritionist was really understanding and said lets find you somthing that works! That made me really happy and felt like ok she understands and its going to be ok. She told me to eat some eggs, tuna, chicken and beans and so on. She told me to eat a little at time and to really chew the food. I felt really good after leaving and like I could do this. :thumbup: Then later that day, the nurse called from OHSU and was like you half to drink the protine shakes. She was just very rude to me. I said its really frusterating to me, to come pay money and be told by your nutrisenst to eat this way and know your telling me that I'm wrong. I'm just frusterated.:confused:

Its because food get washed down with liquids and you want the food to stay on top of the pouch so you feel more full!

Were all going to slip up once in awhile and that ok! Just remember we are humane When you make a bad decisions just go on a walk. Maybe its time to to increases your exercise. Just say you can do it!

I was banded on june 11th! I'm having problems getting my protein in, it tasted horrible. I need other idea besides the protein shaskes on what people do. Please help? thank you

I wan banded on Jun 11th! I'm home know and I having problem with the liqued diet. The protein powders are gross. I have bought the non tasting one and the chochalte and I just cant do it. Can you guys give me any ideas on what to do? Thank you

I ate some eggs for the first today so far so good. Well I'm glad you are doing so well. Dr. Wolff was surgeon and I saw susan today. Thank god for suasn. How much weight have you lost so far?

I was banded on June 11th. When I came out of recovery the nurse cave me crackers and juice. I asked him, i dont think I'm soposoe to have this. Know one really knew what to do with me in the hospital. They all had diffrent story's on what I needed to do. I went back today to meet with a nutrisnet. That was help full. I was having alot of problems doing the protein shakes. She told me I could eat eggs,turkey chilie, she told me to try some cheese. I really hope this works. When I called to leave a message with someone they told me it would 24 to 48 hrs. That pissed me off, when your willing to pay them money they will make you an appt. I hope our luck is better from hear out. How are you doing whith the band and what complications have you had?

I got my band at OHSU. I'm not happy with the support I have been getting. I feel like I have been banded and throwen to the wolves. Good luck

I just had surgery at ohsu and I'm not pleased with them. They have not been very supportive to me before and after. I almost went to salem but I dint want to do the drive. They were very nice and very supportive. go there

I'm going to the dr. today, I'm hoping to get some kind of help from them. I just feel like I'm failing at this already I will let you guys know what they say. Thank you for all your help.
