Good luck!! YOU CAN DO IT!!!!

That sounds like your band is not working. Your doctor needs to check to make sure everything is working correctly. I would insist on it!

You have the right attitude. You will be even more sexier! Attitude is everything. I have lost 60 pds with the band in six months.. You will love it! -
I know it has been awhile since you posted this blog but I haven't been on here in awhile. I was banded in 7-09 and have lost 57 pds. I am really happy with everything but I am losing so much hair which sucks because I have thin straight hair to begin with! I don't eat much so I know i need to take vitimans. Have you heard anything about taking biotin?
-
Your are awesome. I got my lapband in July 2009 down 55 pounds. I need to lose another 30-40 you just made me want to do it!!! Thank you!
-
I am having the same problem. I don't have that much to begin with so I am not a happy camper. I bought some biotin the problem is I am not to good at taking my pills. I got my band on June 29th it sounds like you had yours about the sametime?

Laura I just read your words you attached. I am crying like a baby. Your Mom reminds me so much of my Mom the look, the make up and how much she loved her grandchildren. We are so lucky to have had such great Mom,s. I can only hope to be as good of person as them!
-
Laura, I am so sorry to hear about you Mom. if you remember my Mom passed from breast cancer also. The road ahead will be full of ups and downs but please know you have friends here that understand. Just knowing your Mom was your biggest supporter should help you on your journey. God Bless you and your family!

What happened when you drank Beer? I love it but opt for wine since my lapband!

Can anyone tell me what it feels like to have your band slip? I have pressure in my stomach area not all the time but I am a little scared. I am a cash lapbander and can't afford another surgery!

Hi Laura, I am so sorry to hear your Mom has taken a turn for the worse. I truley know how hard it is. You sound like you are so strong but you must allow yourself to let loose. I am here for you anytime! Loretta

I can't believe you.. It sounds to me like your husband is trying to support you. Do you know how many fights this has caused when a wife wants to do it and the husband won't support? Health is the important part maybe he wants you around!

Laura, Please take care! I think of you all the time!

I had surgery 2 weeks ago. I need to know how many calories, fat, sugar and carbs that I should be eating. So far today I have only had 240 calories and I only have dinner left. Can any one help me out? Thanks:confused:
-
Thanks to you both I will try calling my doctors office today. I want to do this right! I have lost 17 pds so far 2 weeks so I am happy. However I would like to lose as much as I can before Christmas as I want to do a family picture and don't want to look like a cow!

I am not sure if it is normal or not. I have my family but my Mom and I were close and it have been three years since she died and I still want to pick up the phone and call her. There are so many times that when something happens, my grandkids being born, my kids getting married etc.. that I can't stand that she is not here. Then there is the times I think about her suffering through so much just to make my middle sister happy. It will be by far one of the hardest things you will do, to go through this with her. But like I said stay positive! My Mom was the bravest strongest person I have ever known. She will always be with me in my heart!
P.S. take care of yourself during all of this also. your family needs you to! :-) Where do you live, I live in Corona California.

Hi! I am so sorry to hear about your Mom. My Mom battled breast cancer for 12 yrs. She did it for my middle sister. My older sister an I wanted to make up her own mind but my middle sister won out. Fist of all you need to be so so strong for your Mom. Be postive! If she chooses to go through treatment it can be very very tough for you and her. but always try to remain positive. It is a very hard descision to make and I feel bad for you that you are the one making it. Stay tough and please know you can ask me any questions been there with my Mom. She is in a much better place now!

Hi, Dr Coon did my surgery on June 29th. He is a really god doctor and a really nice guy. The office people are nice and his nurse is very helpful. Good luck!

Hi All, I had Surgery on June 29th and everything seems to be going great except for the past couple days I have been running a low fever iinbetween 99.6 and 100.3. Just enough to make you feel a little crappy. I went to the docs yesterday and he said all of my stiches look fine. He is not sure what is causing it. I have to call him tomorrow and check in with him but in the meantime I want to see if anyone else had this problem! Thanks you any input..
