    following weight watchers???????

I think I read somewhere that someone took the WW points system to their PCP and recalculated it to work with the sleeve. Because if I were doing WW right now, I'd need like 32 points or something, and there is no way I could get it. I don't know how they figured it out, but it would be interesting to see if it works. I also had the most success on the WW program before VSG
  2. HAHAHA, I don't know. I'll pick up a Kindergartener tomorrow and let you know. Thanks again all!
  3. If you click on my ticker, it should take you to the site where you can create yours. Then once you have got one, go to your User CP, then click edit signature and you can edit/preview to make sure it looks the way you want before you save it! Hope that helps.
  4. Thanks everyone! I promise I won't complain during the next stall...I promise. :001_smile:
  5. I was also released the day after my surgery, but very late in the day. The surgeon kept asking me if I was sure I wanted to go home and believe me, I did! I guess he would have let me stay another night if I'd wanted to. I was very sore, but walking wasn't a problem. I sure hope you feel better soon and do your best to keep walking!
  6. Unfortunately, I have not had a problem eating ANYTHING, which could be very bad. Went to a friend's for dinner last night and had 3 small sweet potato fries, a few bites of salad, and some grilled chicken. I left a lot on my plate and wanted to eat more. But, I couldn't and I'm glad about that!
  7. I know it's white rice and things like that, but what about dumplings? Not sure what they are made out of.

    popcorn

I love this stuff. I'd forgotten about it (at it all the time pre-op) and now that I'm 6 weeks out, I'm going to pack some in my lunch bag tomorrow!!!

    My Scale Won't Move, Help!

This happened to me too. The scale froze about 5 days after I got off liquids. It froze for about two weeks, then when I realized I was close to getting dehydrated, I started drinking a lot more water, and it went up about 3 pounds. I kept up with my water, and a few days later, those 3 pounds came off, but the scale never moved down again. I stalled for almost 4 weeks. It started moving again a few days ago and I have lost about 6 pounds since the stall. We shall see if I will be one of those that has a two week stall, then a loss. That will DEFINITELY drive me nuts!

    Indeed! Thanks, all!

    caffeine

Also, I know I've been whining an awful lot the past few weeks about the scale being stuck, but this week it moved 4 pounds down. :-)

    caffeine

Well, I will say that my ONE single experience with caffeine post-surgery was great. I was so thrilled with my iced tea that I could have cared less about food. hahaha....that's my case study in a nutshell

    caffeine

Well, I have never been a coffee drinker, and I haven't ever had problems with feeling like I NEEDED caffeine. I was out and about most of the day yesterday, and my sister wanted to get something to drink. We stopped at chick-fil-a and I got an unsweet tea, but it wasn't decaf. I was hoping it wouldn't mess me up! It was the first caffeine I'd had since surgery!
  14. I didn't feel hungry until I moved to mushies. I've been through several phases of trying to figure out what works best for me. I'm a teacher, so I have to eat on a schedule. I start drinking Water the minute I wake up and then I eat breakfast in the car, around 7 a.m. I have a break around 9 and I sometimes need a small snack and sometimes I don't. I eat a very small lunch at 11 and then don't have another chance to eat until almost 4. Most of the time my hunger is in the morning, right when I wake up and also between breakfast and lunch. Anyway, I was surprised to feel hungry once I started on mushies. I'm on soft foods for a few more days, but as long as I eat Protein first, I'm good.
  15. Our remote has an On Demand button, but our cable service provider still does not actually PROVIDE On Demand. But, they promise it's coming (we've been waiting over a year now)...haha!
  16. That sounds like something I would like. Back when I was a teacher in TX and made more money than I do now, I was a member of a gym that had Latin fusion classes (like Zumba) and I have thought about purchasing the zumba dvds. The latin music is what made the class so great for me. The videos I have are the walk away the pounds, and I am seriously over them!!! :lol0:
  17. Do you go to a gym or exercise in your home? I can't afford a gym, so just curious. I have an elliptical (it's cheap and not very good) and some aerobic dvds, but I'm bored with them. Need new ideas!
  18. Oh sorry, I meant chinese dumplings. I had 4 (they were pretty small) with NO pain or discomfort. I'm in the soft food stage and this is the first thing I've tried that didn't give me some kind of pain! Problem is, I'd love to eat the other 4.

    over ate and feel fine

I can't over eat without being in pain, but I just ate some chinese chicken dumplings and felt like I could have kept going. I haven't had the saliva problem before.
  20. Yeah, my mouth was getting super dry at night...like...I'd wake up and my tongue and lips would crack...it HURT! This was a nightly thing ever since surgery. It has really improved since I started drinking more water (more than 64 oz) every day.
  21. I'm praying you guys are right! I go in for a check-up today and I'm going to voice my concerns....the scale has mostly stayed the same until Monday. It went down, yay, and has gone UP ALMOST FOUR POUNDS since Monday. I'm doing nothing different other than trying to drink more water!!!! I've got many questions for the Dr today!!! :svengo:
  22. I sure hope it's water weight. It's been almost two weeks since the scale has moved for me. I go for a check-up tomorrow, and I'm pretty frustrated. This stall started a few days after I got off liquids.
  23. I have been phone-stalking these people for the past week and I finally got to talk to someone! I told her my situation (needed to be up and basically back to work by July 31), and since I'm self-pay and I've done the psych eval, she got me down for surgery on July 14!!! I have to start the liquid diet TOMORROW, which I'm not really prepared for, ack! Suggestions? I'm running to the store tonight to make sure I have something to get me through the day tomorrow. I go for the nutrition class Wednesday, so I'll get the official liquid diet shopping list then. So now I'm waiting for info on the time of the surgery and when I will have to do the other pre-op tests, which hopefully can be done where I live. My husband won't be able to come with me during the day, so I've got to figure out transportation, but other than that I'm SUPER excited to get the ball rolling on this. YAY!:confused1:
  24. I have lost 36 pounds and had my surgery July 14...but like Susan said, my loss has come to a standstill this past week. I'm almost through my 2 weeks on mushies and go to soft foods on Wednesday, so I'm hoping my body will figure it out soon and the scale will move. When I say it hasn't moved in a week, I mean it has been the EXACT same weight every day, not even a slight change! Weird!
