  5. I was denied for not turning in a 6 month diet log so when I called to ask what diets are acceptable (ie., doc supervised, nutritionist, weight watchers) they said my best bet is just to have my doc call in to talk to their doctors. Well, after calling my PCP's office today, his secretary says he doesn't do that. I have NO idea why he doesn't do that for patients. So, I picked up the phone to call my bariatric doctor to see what I could do and he said he would call for me and does it all the time. My big question is, does he still need my 6 month diet in front of him? What will they discuss? Has anyone had to do this and had success with it? Please share your thoughts. I feel like I'm SO close but everything is hinging on this conversation!
  6. Hi! I am brand new here. ) I am SO close to getting approved by Cigna but they did deny me the first time. They said my best bet in order to get approved is to have my doctor call into Cigna to talk to their doctor. He called it a Peer to Peer something or other. Conference? I'm not sure. But, basically it is my doctor calling their doctor to discuss my case and see if he feels it's necessary for me to have the surgery. My question is: do you guys know what goes on during those conversations as in what they're going to ask him? Also, has anyone ever had to do this? What was your success rate? Thanks for your help!
