Hey! I'm glad things went well. Good to know about Dr. Nyugen - I wondered when he came on. My husband is doing approval work get the band, so he might be a good option for him.
just an FYI - when you start going for fills go to Tara Kelly (NP) - she is great and probably easier to get into than the surgeons.

My surgeon at JHU was one of the newest and youngest surgeons, Dr. Nyugen! I know, I know, I took a chance, but some of the older more presitious surgeons at JHU, had no openings until June. I got in with Dr. Nyugen so quickly I was shocked! And besides he sooooo cute! Things went well but now I am entering bandster hell!!! AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

Hey that's awesome! I'm sure you're nervous, it's hard not to be. Who is your surgeon at Hopkins?
I've been really good - I've lost 73 pounds since surgery. I'm hoping to hit 80 pounds by April 1st which will be 10 months out for me. I've done well and love my band.
I started a blog right before surgery last - you can check it out if you want:
I tend to hit the blogs more than I come to LBT now, but obviously I do.
Please let me know how things go. You're so close now!
Good luck!
Linda

hey Jen! Thanks for the words of comfort! Surgery date rescheduled for 3/18/10...still nervous and yes I do have someone to hold my hand. Do you remember how long you were in the OR?

ok, so we havent spoke in ages (since June of last yr!) but I followed your advice and I have a band date of 3-18-10 (rescheduled from 3-11-10, inwhich the hospital cancelled). I am so excited, but nervous at the same time, but I just wanted to check in with you and see how you have been and whats your progress been like?
