It took me about 2 weeks to hear from my insurance company. Hang in there you are almost there.

Thanks for posting such an upbeat blog. Good for you. In 2 - 3 years I hope to be retired and doing all the fun things in life that I have not done yet. I will be a lot more outgoing and enjoying each day a little thinner than the last one.

Happy thanksgiving to everyone. I will be eating to live only this year, that will be a big change. I plan on just being a busy social butterfly and let everyone else eat for me.

This is a wonderful thing that you have all found each other. Keep up the encouragement with each other. I was banded on 6/17/09 and it has been going pretty slow the last couple of months, I am not discouraged just would like it to move on a little faster, but I will get there. -
I am from Carlsbad, CA my insurance is with Blue Cross and had no trouble. Had my surgery on 6/17/09 in La Jolla with Dr. Bhoyrul

I know exactly what you mean Doddie63, I have gone off and been bad but it does not take much these days to get right back into gear. In the past I would have continued the bad eating and would not be able to get myself back on track. The lapbad is a great tool for keeping me on track.

I have been very hungry lately I have had 1 fill and scheduled for my next on on 8/20. Having trouble not eating all the time. -
Hi Lisa, I am so sorry to hear of all of your health issues. I am keeping you in my prayers that you will be given the okay for the 2nd surgery. It is hard to be so young and overweight. My surgery is scheduled for June 17th and right now I am on only liquids.

I am right there with you, I will be banded on 6/17 I started my liquids today. So far okay but it is only day 1, see how I feel as the days go on. I am getting pretty excited about my surgery and to get started on the best part of my life.
