Absolutely! Today is day 6... I'm down 7.5 lbs and took a 2 1/1 mile walk...easy to do because I took a week off of work. How are you doing? Keep me posted and yes lets all stay in touch....very important to have support! Crg2cng

I am 4 days post lapband surgery and i have lost 4.5 lbs. I am on the lowerside of BMI coming into this at a weight of 198. My goal weight is 130. I was like you, I wasn't sure which way to go....so I did reasearch. then I stepped away from all of it for about 2 weeks and just did some sole searching to determine what was best for me. I liked the fact that the lapband can be adjusted and reversible. What detered me from anyhting other that the lapband was the fact that i had 2 friends who had that and have gained weight back. I like knowing that if I get a little out of hand...back to the doctor to make a fill....I hope I have helped by sharing my recent experience....in the end it is all the same...successful weight loss and a new you

Hi all I just wanted to check in and let you all know how my journaey has been. I was banded in Mexico by Dr. Lopez Corvala. My stats: day of surgury 198 (6/26/09) 4 days post op lost 4.5 lbs I want to encourage people to make this transition. I am not here to say that is was a cake walk. It was trying at times but all worth it. I'm oplen for questions......I feel good. I am still on clear liquids...I am having some pain in my shoulder but not using any pain meds. I also want to let you know that I had a hitatial hernia that was also repaired. I have taken a week off work even though I feel like I could return in a couple of days. I am glad to be at this place in life. I miss binging but have found a deeper place in myself that keeps me going. I look ahead at what I want and not what i am letting go of....No regrets....

I get banded tomorrow and I love the postive words from you both...i'm a postive person by nature and find that every struggle has an upside....I too felt overwhelmed with the negative feed from other bandsters....I'll keep you posted to my progress...currently....198 tomorrwo I get banded......crg2cng

I am excited to let go of the bondage of my eating and move through the process to freedom.....I have learned her that I need to "work the band" and I am READY!!!! Well I am getting surgery on 6/26 in Mexico and I am here to tell you...I support you!!! Men don't get it./ Maybe you will be empowered by your experience and he won;t matter anymore...just a thought...I had to let go of the unhealthy....you go girl...stay in touch and let me know how it goes....crg2cng

I weigh 199 currenlty and have a gola weight of 130. I am having it done in Mexicao becuase of the cost. I search for three months different places to get the lapband and money was a deciding factor.
