Hello everyone, I have not been on for over a year. I have been frustrated about the slower then expected weight loss, just trying to figure this band thing out and how it fits in my body and my life. It certainly keeps me from gorging down that burger but what DOES go down is the stuff that I shouldn't eat....like chips, candy, ice cream. So, I just went for my anuual check-up and I have lost 33lbs in a year. I'm dissappointed but the doctor wasn't. She said it was good and the office staff kept commenting on how great I looked. So I feel re-dedicated now to following the rules to get the rest off and got filled up to 2cc. Hopefully, I can make my goal by the end of this year:rolleyes:

Faybie-Great job on the List! Well, I'm 5 days out and have to say that today it is starting to get better. Still not sleeping really well because of the port pain and stomach soreness. I had a terrible reaction to the anesthesia so I'm very weary of taking the pain meds. I have to say though that I still want to eat and I'm depressed because I can't but I know that this liquid phase will be over soon.

Hi everyone! I have been reading this forum and is so informative. I just received my band date for August 21st and am so excited. My body just aches with sooo many pains! If they get a cancellation I'll get to go sooner. Thanks for all the tips, lessons and stories. I can't wait to join in with my own.

Well I'm 4 days out and am still feeling pretty miserable. I had a terrible reaction to the anestesia and my stomach aches much more than I thought it would. The gas pains haven't been so bad, they let themselves out:) I don't feel very hungery and just drinking some soup or shake makes me feel full, however I realize now about head hunger. I have a two year old son and a six year old daughter that have to be fed and just looking at their food (grilled cheese last night)makes me think...Why did I do this? But I know in a month or so I will be soo happy I did. This liquid diet is really hard and I can't wait to eat solids:hungry: Well, I'll check in later, I'm going to lie down now. Thanks to everyone for all the LBT support.

Hi everyone, Add me to the August Club. I'll be banded on the 21st by Dr. Foster in Burlingame, CAlifornia. I can't wait, my body is full of aches and pains. They haven't told me about a pre-op diet yet....I wonder if they will. Did you all on a pre-op diet find this out right after they booked your surgery date? My husband will be banded 3 weeks after me so it should be an interesting journey for a husband and wife who like to eat.
