  1. Happy 42nd Birthday kimber1701!

  2. 2 years has passed since you registered at LapBandTalk! Happy 2nd Anniversary kimber1701!

  3. The good Lord gave you a body that can stand most anything. It's your mind and motivation you have to convince. You must begin to think of yourself as becoming the person you want to be. Let that person who is inside come out and see the world. Take it one day at a time. Happy Holidays. PS: Update me on your progress and visit my web page As My World Turns

  4. Has anyone else ever experienced bleeding after a fill? I had my first fill today. A few seconds after he removed the needle, blood began gushing. I asked if this was normal & they said no but gave no reason that it would have happened to me. While he was injecting the Fluid he mumbled something about it going in slow. Then after there was the bleeding...now I'm all freaked out. Someone please tell me if this has ever happened to them before or if anyone knows why it might. Help me please! Thanks! Kim
  5. hey kim!!! i want your recipe for the lemon ice too! my surgeon does have a support group, but i live about 2 hours from the hospital. it's bad enough to go there when i have to. but it is rated 3rd in our nation, so i have confidence in them! you got to eat some actual food, yeah! my husband has been very supportive about the actual decision as i really had to do this for medical reasons. i had a heart attack when i was only 34. it's been four years now and although i lost 55 lbs. after the attack, i couldn't keep it off. now, after the surgery, has been a different story. from the first night i was released from the hospital, i had to get up with the 2 yr.old each and every night. at the time, he had taken off 5 days of work to"help me". i wasn't happy. after day three, i told him if he didn't do more i was checking into a hotel so i could get some rest!!!!! so he shaped up! as for your hubby, i'm sure your knock his socks off!!! lisa6:lol:

  6. I'm scheduled to be banded August 20, 2009. I've been told by my dr that he does not require a liquid pre-op diet. No actual eating changes are necessary for me at all. I don't think I've seen anyone else with these instructions - just curious, IS there anyone else that didn't do the liquid diet prior to surgery? I know they're the drs, but I'm kinda scared to not do the diet after hearing so many others who have had to. There must be a reason for the liquid diet everyone's been on, right? Thanks for your help! Gettin' kinda nervous... Kim:unsure:
