What will I need
AggiePaige replied to 1hotchocolate's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I took a small, squishy pillow for the ride home, a book to calm myself, lip balm and sugar free candy. I didn't really use any of the stuff I brought. At home, dissolvable Gas-X helped a lot. So did a heating pain for the shoulder pains. My husband bought an array of creamy Soups and made sure I walked every hour. You'll need several ice packs, because I kept one constantly on my incisions. Also, lots of pillows to prop yourself up, some good movies to watch or books to read. Hope all goes well! -
Head vs. Stomach Hunger... help!
AggiePaige replied to suzetteherrera's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I know for me, when I am head hungry, it's usually because there is something I don't want to deal with and I am using food to distract myself. It's usually an emotion I don't want to feel. When I get that way, I sit in a quiet room, close my eyes, and have a little talk with myself. I ask myself what's going on and what I don't want to face. It usually does the trick. -

AggiePaige replied to crg2cng's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Howdy! I am down 17 lbs, need to change my ticker. My favorite all time Soup is Chili's chicken Enchilada. My husband picked some up for me, blended until smooth and added skim milk to thin. It tasted heavenly!!!! A bowl can easily feed me for three meals. Other favorites are Cambell's Tomato Soup and potato soup (you have to blend the chunks in the potato) I'm drinking lots of Water, and get in at least one to two Protein Shakes. If I don't feel I get get that many, I drink an Isopure. It has 40 grams of Protein and comes in about 4 fruit flavors at GNC. -

I went for the one-on-one Seminar on June 9 and am getting banded on June 25. I am self-pay and I am sure that speeded things up considerably. -

Introduction and looking for feedback
AggiePaige posted a topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Howdy! I am 30, 5'6" and 320#. I am meeting with TLCEdge solutions in Plano, Texas tonight for a one on one informational seminar. I'm looking for feedback. Does anyone regret getting the lap-band? Any horror stories? Does it work? Do you really have to give up Coke? I'm scared and not sure what to do, but I am tired of feeling fat and unattractive. -

Thanks so much for your feedback. And yes, I did mean the beverage coke. I know I need to do the work and am not looking for a quick fix...I want hope and help. This board seems to be a fantastic source of both.
