I am still feelings some things but that will soon disapate. Hold on be strong!! I am not on liquids I was only on liquids for a week. The gas seems to never go away. Do you get some gas x strips? Yes I have lost 9 lbs without restrictions but I will be glad when I get my first fill. I can honestly say that I feel some restrictions now without a fill. I can never finish a meal, I now have to ask for a to go box everywhere I go.. I wasn't suppose to eat this however I tried some wings.. Well pre surgery I could eat a 10w/fries and a 16oz sweet tea. I managed to get down 5 wings a few fries. I tried Piccadilly yesterday I ordered baked chicken rice and broccoli with cornbread muffin. I was excited because it was my first meal. I broke off a piece of chicken and eat some rice and tried to swallow it and thought I was choking I couldnt get it down I could only eat a few bites and had to bring the rest home. I can see it working however, this is going to be a slower process. .

Hey Jerzeegurl!!!! I am an ATLalien!! We have all contemplated those same thoughts in our minds. Believe me it's part of the process. I had surgery on 7/8 and haven't had a fill yet. But I have restrictions without the fill. Pre-Surgery I could eat a 10pc wings and fries and drink a 16oz sweet tea. Now without a fill I can only eat half of what I buy. I know I not suppose to eat wings at all however I tried it and could only get down 5 with a few fries. I went to a cafe yesterday and ordered steamed broccoli baked chicken and rice. I couldn't eat any of it. I only took bites - mind you this is without restrictions- no fill...... Count on not being able to eat even half of a meal.... and I love it.

I am sore and dealing with the whole GAS thing. My doctor was Hart and he comes highly recommended. Some of my coworkers and I read alot of blogs on him and he was very professional. I went to college in Albany but I am not familiar with the local doctors. Congrats to you I was told that BCBS is the best insurance to have when seeking approval. I am in Atlanta.

Thanks for stopping by Kim! I feel alright except for the chest pains(gas) that was the most of my discomfort. Other than that I feel like I am on top of the world. I have lost 6lbs thus far.... I feel real good about beeing on the other side... How do you feel about your upcoming surgery? Who's your Dr in Atlanta? I think we need to start a blog for all the Atliens that are going thru the process. What are your thoughts? There are about 6 people from Atlanta on the blog. Your the next contestant ...... Come on down.

Other then chest pains (Gas) and soreness. I would be on top of the world. I have lost 6lbs since the procedure. The first night was a doze for me. I kept forgetting to ask for pain medicine. Also , I had the worst sore throat, I had to get some spray for that. Other than walking do you have any recommendations for chest pain, which I am assuming is gas.
Thanks for your support....

It did Praise the Lord! Right now I am on liquids and also eating Jello, Chocolate Pudding. The only major pain that I have had is gas in my back and chest. I am still working my way thru that. There's also a little dscomfort when I swallow. Other than that I feel about a 7. I stayed overnight in the hospital and I am glad that I did, the nurses were very nice and comforting.. It's been three day post-op and I can already tell a difference, Since Wed I have lost 6lbs...... Thanks for being there. I really appreciate your support. I will be on the look out for you.....
