  4. I have my first PS consult next Thursday and I was wondering if someone who has gone through this before can give me some pointers. I know my insurance doesn't pay for plastic surgery but was told if medically needed they would. Now how do I make this happen? Give me some pointers. I have some pictures of sores and I have a history of having the sores is this enough? If someone has had luck with getting ins. companies to pay let me know how you have. Thanks Jo:confused:
  5. Hello everyone. I haven't been on here for awhile. I am so happy for everyone so far with there weight loss. I went for my first fill 8/13 and they put 4.3 cc in and to date I have lost 43 lbs. I have been bad though. I have been working out at curves three days a week but last week with being on vacation I didn't go at all and yesterday I got a phone call from them saying "where have you been" lol so its back to it today. Keep up the good work everyone. TTYL:thumbup:
  6. Have you tried going to bariatriceating.com and trying the lemon iced tea protein shake? I will tell you. Put ice in the shaker with cold water and shake shake and it tastes just like lemon iced tea. :smile2: You should try it.
  7. Good morning everyone!! Well my banded friend came over yesterday after her first fill. She was banded on June 8th. She has done wonderful and now has lost 32 lbs. 20 of which since surgery and 16 inches. I am sooo proud of her. My first fill is Aug. 1st. when is everyone elses? Oh my friend passed out for her first fill. I guess you have to stand up when doing the florascope and she said she started feeling hot then started to sweat and then she felt this tug of the needle going through the port and well lights out. We laughed at that. Don't worry everyone she passes out easily...lol
  8. Ya lets not ask what next. That scares me..lol
  9. Today I am doing really well. Not to much pain at all. Had some this morning when I was getting out of bed but none since. I can really say that I am really happy on how I am feeling. I haven't felt hungry and I am drinking my shakes to get the protein in and I am on mushies so I'm not going to complain at all. Well back to work...lol ttyl
  10. You are right you can do the liquids for just a little longer. Keep the big picture in front of you and you can do it. Ok is anyone else having a lot of sneezing? When I was waking up from the surgery I had a sneezing attack and they told me its from the gas and to this day I sneeze a lot. :tongue_smilie: It doesn't hurt as much as it did the day of surgery but geez I'm about done with it.
  11. Good morning everyone. Wow I didn't expect to have to read this many posts this morning..lol I am feeling pretty good. Still having some pain at my port incision and some at the main incision but I haven't taken any of the pain meds yet. Its not that bad. I am able to eat mushies so mashed potatoes, stuffed mixed in the blender that kind of stuff but I know I haven't taken in as much protein as I should be so I am drinking my shakes now. I love my shakes. The swiss chocolate and I have a lemon iced tea one to and yummy. I guess I will just drink a couple of those a day and I shouldn't have a problem. Now as far as the BM goes I am just thrilled to announce Sat. was the day for that...lmao. I will say that I was told the pain meds will constipate you plus if you don't drink enough water. I also took one correctol at night and in the am there it was. So you might want to think about taking one of those to help things come along. Don't take anything harsh. Correctol is gentle and works great. Water water water.... I am so happy people are talking on here. Lets keep it up people....:tongue_smilie:
  12. Good morning everyone. Well here I am at work again I wish we had today off like so many others do for the holiday. Sorry I didn't get online to check the thread last night but was over my dads house checking on him. Now that my moms funeral is over and we made it through that he has a horrible cold. I have to keep a eye on him since he has sugar. Hes doing ok. We both are. Waiting for it to really kick in though. It's like its not real. So this morning I am feeling really tight and still can't eat but right now I am drinking my protein shake to keep liquids in and not get dehydrated. I think I will go for a long walk tonight and see if that helps the gas pain. Well off to do some work. I will check in later. Hope everyone is doing well. ttyl:thumbup:
  13. Hello fellow June 29th banders.... Well what you guys are feeling is how I am feeling also. A lot of pressure and tightness around the bra line. Its a strange feeling isn't it. It is starting to ease up but sitting here at work at the computer my back is killing me. lol Want to go home and lay flat on my back...lol I did really good on the pre op diet. I lost 30 lbs in two and a half weeks so now I hope I can keep going. I had some stress during that time to for my mom died on June 21st and I still went forward with the whole thing cause she wanted this for me as much as I did. I know she is up there cheering me on and helping me through all this. So lets do this everyone and lets have fun doing it.
