Good Morning Lovely Bandster Ladies!!! *PHEW*....Glad to know I'm not the only one who lost steam this month! So....we all ready to GET BACK TO IT!??? I CAN'T HEAR YOU!!!!! So....I went for my 3rd fill this am w/my NEW Fill Dr...(a Woman Dr. who also has been banded) and she told me 2 things that kind of surprised me! 1) My type of Birth Control Pill can affect my tightness b/c I have the BC pill that has 3 levels of hormones and she said I should switch to one that just has one consistent level....Interesting! 2) She also told me I have a band that only holds 4CCs!!! I thought I had a band that Held the 10CCs, but apparently I have the 10cm Band that only holds 4ccs, not the other way around! So I must have misunderstood my surgeon when he said the number 10! Needless to say, I was a bit freaked out b/c I thought I had a lot more leeway as far as fills go, but it turns out I don't!! I'm now at 3.50 CCs in my 4.0 BAND! UGH!!! That means this one better kick in!! Although I do think its going to be tight, but like SASSY said, that's not such a bad thing is it? BMAN....I'm so sorry to hear about your EX....I remember how devastated I was when I found out my Ex had been cheating on me w/a woman he worked with and who I had Babysat her kids for!! UGH....It sucks...MEN SUCK sometimes....but Just be thankful that you found out and are able to live your life w/out that kind of person in it! Now is the time to focus on you girl!! Be the BEST YOU YOU CAN BE!! (then rub it in his face of course! LOL). NAT...happy B.day to your little man!! I hope you're not having the party at your house! ANNIE....Let us know how your fill goes!! I think mine is pretty tight....but I haven't had anything but Water yet, so we'll have to see when it comes time to actually eat! Hey Gang! I just went for my first NON Dr. K Fill! (my 3rd overall)...and I was a bit freaked out by the fact that I had been thinking I had a band that HELD 10ccs, but it turns out I have the 10cm BAND, which only HOLDS 4CCs!!! And this 3rd fill brought me up to 3.90 ccs in my band so I'm almost as tight as I can get!! This thing better kick my ass this time cause its gonna have to hold me for a while!! anyways, hope you're all doing well......take care!

SASSY....sounds like you got a good fill! YEAH!! Congrats! BK....glad you are over your stomach bug! KAY...you're just now having your first PB!?? You lucky girl! I, unfortunately, have had it happen a few times b/c I still apparently learned how to keep my big trap shut and take smaller bites! ugh...it does suck, but at least it makes you stop eating for a while! lol STEPH....I'll definitely keep you posted on things w/the new guy! Unfortunately I haven't heard from him since Sat. when I replied to his email, but I know he had a big project launching this week so I figure he's just not thinking about it. He also may be putting off a 'date' until he's had a chance to talk to me more in a group setting since we have a wine group happy hour next week! Congrats on the NSV Compliment at work!! I still have not had anyone who didn't know I had surgery comment on my weight loss, but oh well...I'm not doing it for them, I'm doing it for me! I go first thing in the AM for my 3rd fill w/my new fill Dr. I've heard she's very good and personable, although I wished I could do it under fluoro, I think it'll be ok! I'll report back once it's done! NAT...Good to see you!!! I would LOVE to see those docs you got today! I know I definitely need them! Hey everyone! Steph.....yes, you're right, I just needed to be patient!! Unfortunately it sounds like he's got another busy week this week so I'm not sure when I'll hear from again, but at least I got confirmation that he IS interested! Glad to hear you're on track!! I am going for my 3rd fill on Wed. w/my new Fill Dr...and I'm a bit nervous!!! I still have days where I feel restriction and sometimes I don't....so I'm not sure if it's that I need more fill or just need to be a better bandster, but I figure even if I just get a little bit put in, it won't hurt! And if I'm too tight...well, then that should really kick start things again! LOL The weird thing is my scale actually budged after my weekend away (and not stepping on the scale)....it was down 1.5 pounds! go figure!! UGH.....oh well! I'll never understand this damn weight loss! I did start going through my closet last night and put all my too big clothes in a pile to give to goodwill!! And I found a bunch of size 20 pants that I hadn't been able to wear in over a year that I can now fit back into so that was FUN! JILL...good to see you back here and posting! I'm thinking about getting a bike too! there is a long trail near my house that is perfect for biking on and I really need to get into some good exercise! I'm actually trying to get into a routine (once again) w/my elliptical this week....wish me luck! Glad to hear you dropped in April!!! I was stuck the whole month but am hoping my fill on Wed. will change that and May will get me into the solid 240s where I haven't been since 1999!!! Hope you all have a great Monday!

Hey Ladies! STEPH...sorry to hear about the binge, but hopefully you can just chalk it up to a mistake and try not to do it again!! Remember this is a process...not an overnight fix and although our Stomachs may be telling us to STOP....our brains haven't been reprogrammed yet! I'm actually up in your neck of the woods this weekend! I'm in Easton PA w/my sons and parents looking at Lafayette College for my oldest. We head home tomorrow and are stopping in Hershey for lunch (God Help ME!) Hang in there...just get back on track and you'll be OK! OH...and Guess who emailed me today!??? THAT GUY!! He appologized for not responding earlier, said work had him swamped this week, and that he'd like to go out sometime! So...we'll see!! Hope you all have a great weekend!

Lap Dancer, I was able to eat an omlette pretty quickly after my surgery..not sure how far out you are, but I wouldn't worry about it! I consider them "Mushies"..... SHESHA....I'm with you girl!!!! I tried to get follow up fills near me and every Dr. seems to want to charge a min $500 "Program Fee" in addition to the $200-300 fill fees!! It's RIDICULOUS!!! That is why I went to CO for my first two fills!!! Although I did just find a local Dr. who will do fills for $200 w/no program fee and she supposedly does people who were banded in Mexico too, so I've heard she's not judgemental like some other docs!! Did you try www.fillcentersusa.com?? they have locations of Drs who will fill patients they did'nt do the surgery on. I'm jealous you all get to meet in May, but there's just no way I can get out there. Have fun!!

Annie...holy cow woman! I wish I could be as motivated as you in getting to the gym!! I guess if I did that, I'd still be losing a little bit too....ugh. Claud...hang in there....take it one day at a time and just try to focus on you as much as you can! I know every time you hear from him it's gonna hurt. But time does heal! Steph.....Wow...you waited 1.5 hrs!?? I'd have been pissed! lol But I'm impatient to begin with LOL (just listen to me about the guy!). Thanks for the reasurrance Steph about the guy....I will be patient, I promise! As for the fill...I'm with you there too!! I am still flip flopping back and forth as to whether or not I really need it or am I just not being a good enough bandster! But....I am eating around 13-1400 calories a day so I figure even if I get too tight for a little while, it won't kill me! Let us know how your fill goes!

Hey Ladies! Hope you're all doing OK.... CLAUD...I'm so sorry to hear your friend broke your heart...I've been there, done that! Just know that you deserve much better than someone who keeps secrets from you like having a child! So I have some man drama......I told you all I went to a winery on Sunday, well, I met a guy there and he emailed me yesterday to tell me how nice it was to talk to me and meet me and that he hoped to see me again soon at another group event. Well, I emailed him back and told him if he ever wanted to get together outside of the group, like go see a movie or something, that I'd be up for it. Well....of course it's now been 24 hrs and he hasn't responded so I'm thinking I scared him off but 2 friends (1 of them a guy) said that a) he was definitely interested by the tone of his email and I was not too aggressive in my response, but I'm the paranoid one! My best friend said if I don't hear from him by Thurs. to write him off, so I'm trying to be patient. I really liked this guy, so say some prayers that things work out! Anywhoo..that's my life while I wait for my next fill As for the needle thing...It has never hurt me, or bothered me, not having it be numbed, I'm like Steph I guess!

STEPH...you think the scale not moving for 2 weeks is bad!!? Try 5 weeks! :-( I go next week for my 3rd fill and can't wait! Congrats on the NSV!!! That is awesome!!! Its weeks like this when my scale hasn't moved that I wonder if I'll ever get into those sizes, but I just have to keep the faith, right!? Sassy...I've never had numbing for my fills either, although I'm not sure how my new fill Dr. will do it next week, but I'll let ya know!

Hope all you lovely ladies had a beautiful weekend!! Here in VA it was in the 80s and on Sat. I walked around DC ALL Day w/my friends (and my legs are hating me for it!). We had a blast...we ended the day at a comedy club and a delicious greek restaurant!! Yesterday I went to a winery w/a group of about 20 people and my best friend (sort of BF), fainted and we had to call 911 and get him to the hospital! It was really scarey, but he was fine after a few liters of fluids...he was just really dehydrated I guess. I am eagerly counting down til my fill next week.....realizing that I desprately need it! My scale has not budged at ALL in April :-( Very depressing! ALTHOUGH...when I was getting ready to go out yesterday, I did try on a pair of size 18 shorts and although they were not ready for public viewing, I could actually get them on and zip them! So I know those teens are right around the corner!! SASSY...sorry to hear you couldn't get a fill! I can't believe they can tell you based on the amount you've had that you do or don't need one. You should call back and tell them you can eat more than 1 cup of food at a time and you know you need a fill! JILL....CONGRATULATIONS on making it to onederland!! That is awesome!!! I can't wait to get there myself! STEPH...hopefully all your snow is melted and you got to enjoy some beautiful weather this weekend! NIKKI....glad your back posting. BMAN...a Road Trip would ROCK! I've been thinking about doing one since I saw Oprah and Gayles Big Adventure! LOL STEPH....I think the cherry blossoms are still out, at least I hope so! I want to see if I can get a good pic of them and Yup...I have a desk job too!

I am jealous! :confused: But I know that my 40 isn't that bad either...I'm just pissed b/c I can't seem to get off of this stupid pleateau I've been on for a month! I have some friend from college in town so they're coming over tonight for a BBQ and then we're going to do touristy things in DC tomorrow and go to a comedy show in the evening. Congrats on hitting the 50 pound milestone!!! I am stuck at 42 pounds gone, but am going in for my 3rd fill in a week so am hoping that will get me going again! :eek:

WOOFAY/Tater....I'm the one that had the reaction to the tape! The Benadryl helped a little bit, but really what you need to do is go to the drugstore and get some TEGADERM tape...it is basically the same thing as what you have on now, but you won't have a reacation to it! Just take the tape off and replace it w/the Tegaderm Tape and you'll be fine! :eek:

BRANDY...sorry you didn't get any definitive news today! But a HUGE CONGRATS ON hitting the 100 mark!! You look FABULOUS!!!! I can't Wait til I get there! SASSY and NAT...both of you have mentioned that you didn't feel like you should be posting when you're not doing well....but you should know by now that that is when you need to be posting the MOST! We're here for each other to pick each other up in good times and Bad! Remember that! SANJAYA IS GONE!!!! Wooo hooo!!! I can still watch that show now :eek: NAT...my friends daughter is doing ok, but I think she's still in Shock. I'm sure a lot of kids there are. But everyone will hopefully get through it. NAT....You CRACK ME UP Girl!!! Sooo happy you're back makin me smile! BK....glad to hear things went ok in class. I am still shaken by what happened at VaTech the other day, but as they say "this too shall pass".... I have been really following the bandster rules this week and eating protein first and not snacking....and the scale has barely budged! I definitely need the fill! Hey gang...posting on a totally non weight related topic tonight. As most of you have probably heard of the shootings that took place today at Virginia Tech. The school is about 2 hrs from me but several of my sons friends go there and one of my friends daughters go there. My sons and I were just there over spring break to check out the campus as a possible school for my oldest to go to. Please just keep all of the kids and their families in your thoughts and prayers. I still don't know for sure if my sons friends are all safe or if my friends daughter is, but even if they are, I can't imagine what they're going through. What has this world come to that our children can't get an education in safety?? :-( With a heavy heart tonight...

Wow Nat!! YOU GO GIRL!!!! Sounds like you're really doing well both weight wise and emotionally! So glad to hear you stood up to your mother!! I"m doing spring cleaning as well...trying to get rid of some old furniture, books, and clothes that will never be worn again! I need to get back on my elliptical. It seems like ever since I got it I've been off and on sick :-( I'm almost over the latest cold, so I am going to aim for 3x this week. I too am back to working on the basics. Not snacking, eating protein first, and stopping before it gets painful! Here's hoping it helps the scales move this week b/c I've been stuck for the past month! I really want to get into the 240s once and for all. So I've got to lose the 10 pounds this month to comfortably get there. Glad to see you're doing so well!!
