  1. I didn't pick a BMI I let my body tell me when I felt truly comfortable in my skin. Good advice "take it as it comes". Just relax, follow your plan (find one that works for You!), and last stay off the scale try to weigh monthly. (AND keep logging/postng on VST) Dee

    Heart burn

    I am almost 3 years out and still take PPI's. I had to change "brands" and up dosage (2 pills) till I found one that worked. I take 2 pills every morning if I don't take them I know it! That being said I am exploring getting off them BUT if I can't it is a trade off (agree w/Junior Guru) Dee

    Need help with vitamins

    I took chewables (YCK!) didn't make it a priority.(I did take my Rx pills-they are small) Followed my post-op diet. Now I take my Vitamins everyday. Calcium is the hardest the pills are so big (tried all the crewables-I can't tolerale any sugar alcohols) There are some small ones but you have to take sooo many! I was so glad to get that band out of me! The best to you Dee

    protein shots?

    Not all Protein is the same. The shots have "animal" protein not all whey. Do some research you will be surprised at all the stuff that is put into some products. Myself I don't think they are worth it. But whatever works for you is what matters. Dee

    Trying to go from band to sleeve

    I got my band out at the same time. I was self pay so I wanted an MD who did alot of band to sleeves and I wanted it done in a hospital, not a "clinic" (I had my band done in MX in a clinic-no complaints but not the same as a sleeve) Some surgeons just staple the sleeve other staple then sew over the staples I wanted the later. Good luck on your research. The bottom line is I love the sleeve hated the band. Dee

  12. First CALM DOWN. Make an appointment with your Primary care provider if you don't have one get one. This is a journey keep a food log (r u getting enough Protein?) The Fluid will leave your body give it some time! Stay off the scale for a month and DO i.e. log the food and get exercise if you can. Keep checking in here. YOU LOST ALMOST 60 LBS.     Back On Track Thread

    checking in..back to running..what a difference…I have decided just to give up Protein bar/shakes unless something new and improved shows it's face. Now they are putting "fiber" aka chicory root (inulin) in everything and it really upsets my GI tract! (same w/oat bran back in the day they put that in everything) Maybe this is a good thing so I am forced to find real food with protein in it. Hope everyone is doing well. Still going to "weekly weigh-in" What is weird is that people are forgeting I was fat before. I am becoming a skinny b***h! Never thought I would see the day Dee

  22. my shoe size did change was 9/12 now 8-8/12. Agree with waiting till you get to the place where you are truely comfortable in your body. I had over the years "collected" so may sizes!! now I only have my small sizes Dee
  23. you are doing great! Like the idea of staying off scale that really helped me try once a month. It is very freeing. Just focus on your eating plan. Plan what to eat and eat what you plan and you too will be in a body you can live in Dee

    eating an apple, no scale today. swimming is on my agenda today. Grandkids might trump it but will have my swimming bag with me just in case I have time Dee
