    Anyone on here single?

    Thanks ladies!!!!
  2. ...body wraps! I was told they work and you maintain the result if you are eating properly and working out regularly. But if you are doing nothing, get them done, and continue to do nothing then you lose the result. So I'm figuring if I'll constantly be shrinking, would I maintain the results from a body wrap?? I already have 2 saggy areas I'd like toned up a little bit. Any help would be fabulous!

    Twenties NSVs

I was banded 10 days ago but also lost weight pre-op. So since losing a total of 21 lbs, my NSV's are: *Down from size 22 to size 20! *Shirts down from 2x to 1x (xl) some brands! *Panties actually went down from size 9 to 8, no more saggy butt! *Had the courage to talk to a new hot guy at work and he was super friendly and flirty!!! *Lost 21.75 inches so far! *Can reach all the way to the far end of my trunk! hehe! 5 inches of belly gone!

From Phoenix, Az!!! The big P-H-X!!! woot woot!
  10. You will be okay, you must focus on the positive! Start w/ small goals for the soda, just cut down by 1 a day and maintain that for a mth. Cutting out soda won't be about the calories or carbonation, but it will be about breaking the habit.

  11. You know, that is not a bad thing though. This is giving you time to prepare for the rest of your life, literally. get your ducks in a row first. I researched for a year and a half before I decided I wanted. After decideing it took me 8 mths to get MY crap together. My insurance was FAST! Just give yourself the time you need to slowly cut stuff out like smoking, soda, bad friends, etc. B/c if you wait until after you will want to have a nervous breakdown not being able to turn to food! The 4 mths pre-op for me I quit smoking, all soda, energy drinks, got rid of 1 friend, and set shit straight with my older sister. It has helped a ton!

    JUNE 2009 Lap Band Surgery

I have not. this is my biggest down fall so it's my highest priority goal this next week. I have worked out 2x since surgery, walked for 20 mins. Today I used a 15 min break at work to walk our parking lot, it's 110 degrees here in az now so that was miserable. I'm going to try the workout shows on the FIT channel on my satellite. I have TIVO so I've already recorded a few so I have 3-5 30 min shows waiting for me there if I'd just do them. hope to get it done tonight! Oh and I'm wearing a pedometer and trying to read 10k steps a day but right now I just get between 3-4000/day w/o additional walking.
  13. Thanks for the pic comment! I'm diggin' this pic myself! I call it the "no carb glow", haha! have you been banded yet?

  14. Thanks for the picture comment! i did a lot of emotional work pre-op and I think that is what has helped me. i hear of a lot of struggles people have post-op and I think I did it all before surgery b/c it seems to be smooth sailin for now! only thing I'm not allowed for 21 more days is carbs. Other than that I can eat anything, in moderation. It's working out well!!! good luck w/ your process you should post pics!

    JUNE 2009 Lap Band Surgery

Congrats, yay your date is almost here now, just past the weekend! I would recommend maybe 1-2 meals a day sub in some liquid. I was not required to do it either but I did either Protein shake or Protein Bars 1-2x a day. I lost 8.5 lbs 2 wks before surgery and now 10.5 lbs since surgery 9 days ago. I'm doing well but I'm weighing out all my food now that I'm on solids again. I'm being super strict, no snacking. Wise to cut out all snacking prior to surgery too! Luck Luck Luck!!!

    I'm wondering...

...could you guys give me examples of a regular meal 3 mths post op? I'm 6 days out and I'm doing great, but I hear this is the honeymoon phase. And I've read some blogs with people 6-8 mths post op eating stuff I ate before surgery. So I'm just wondering what you guys all survive on and what the portion size looks like. Thanks!

    JUNE 2009 Lap Band Surgery

OMG I agree. I'm cool w/ the laughing & coughing. But sneezing seems to pull something, and hicups make me feel embarassed. i feel like I'm all loud and it hurts in my chest. It's just wild! Hicups are not my friend!!!

eggs are a fabulous way to get in protein! I do 1 egg meal a day, generally Breakfast. If you get 3 eggs (18gm protein) and 2 oz of cheese (8 gm of protein) then after that meal you've got 26 gm right there. I sometimes do this meal twice daily if I can't think of what to eat, and I'm meeting or exceeding my protein daily. Also, SHAMROCK FARMS CHOC MILK ROCKIN' REFUEL! It's a choc milk (tastes yummy) w/ 25 gm of protein. I know some ppl can't have choc milk but I got the ok and it's a drink I have in between meals, works out great!!! Good luck!

Can you believe we did this??

I just want to add my version of this story: Day 2 post op my Aunt called me and I was telling her I was doing ok. she said "I just have to tell ya Liz, I am proud ofyou. And not because you are doing something to be healthy, but because you did this on your own. You were brave and mature and made a decision that is life altering w/o anyone else's opinions or concerns and just went for it. That took a lot of guts and strength and I'm beyond proud of you!". <--Most awesomest aunty in the world!!!
