I am located in Longs SC and I would love to be in a support group. I was banded in Mexico May 19th,06. I have lost 83 lbs. I want to lose at least 50 more. I walk and ride my bike everyday, but still can't seem to get any more lbs off. Does anyone have any suggestions.

Hi, I was banded in mexico in 2006. I am in Myrtle Beach SC, and orignally from Albany GA. I go to Moultrie GA to Fill Centers of America. They band people who had surgery anywhere, and it only cost $165.00. I was also told there was a fill center in Denver NC. I would like to find a support group in Myrtle Beach. Hope this helps.

I went to the fill center today in moultrie,ga. This was my second fill after having my lap band surgery done in may06 in mexico. I went back to mexico for my first fill. I recieved 1.2cc the first fill and I have lost 49lbs. My fill today was 1.3cc, this bumped me up to 2.5cc in my band now. The nurse in moultrie was very nice and seemed to really be educated on how to do the fills. There was no pain and i was very pleased. I can have another fill in 6 weeks. Price is $299.00 for the first fill and then $155.00 for each fill thereafter. Hope this helps someone. thanks hot nana

does anyone know of a dr. in ga. that will do a fill for a resonable price. i was banded in may 06 in mexico by dr del la garza and have been going back to mexico for my fills. please help

:clap2: Hello from Albany, Georgia. I was banded may19th in Mexico by DR.Del La Garrza. I went back to mexico for my first fill in august. I have lost 44 lbs. and doing very well. Having the lap band surgery was the best thing I've ever done for myself. Where are you going to be banded at. Who is your Dr. I was banded on may19th in mexico by Dr. Del La Garza. I have lost 30 lbs. being banded was the best thing that ever happen to me. I had tried every diet and would lose a little weight and then gain it all back. But I do believe with the band I will be able to keep it off. I did not have much pain at all with my surgery, and since then everything has went really well. No problems. Hope it goes the same with you. By the way my name is Joyce. I was banded in mexico on may 19th by DR. DE la Garza in monterey.I am 58 years old. I am a mother of 4 and a grandmother of 7. I have lost 27 lbs. I have had no problems and I consider it the best thing I have ever done for myself. I have not had a fill. I think I need one, but i'm not sure if I need to go back to mexico to have this done. I live in albany, ga and I would like to find a DR. a little closer.:clap2:

Hi Cheri, I have days when I stay so hungry and others days I could eat nothing. I try to drink a lot of water. I drink a lot of crystal light lemonade. I buy the little packs you just pour in a bottle of water. It's taste really good. I also eat Italion ice, ice cream, I get it at walmart it takes the place of ice cream. I don't eat much meat or bread because it just does not want to go down. I eat a lot of veggies and salads. I've dieted all my life, and never had much luck. I'm so thankful I found out about lapband. I can't believe how much better I feel just losing 29 lbs. My feet and legs don't hurt near as bad as they used to. Do you walk or do exercise, I try to, but it's hard to do it every day because it's so hot. Keep trying and God bless.

Thanks for the reply. Albany is about 150 miles from Atlanta, that's not to far. Have you had a fill yet? Was it painful? How much weight have you lost? Do you eat much? Just want to talk to someone that's in the same place I am. I love being banded , it's the best thing I've ever done for myself. Looking forward to hearing from you.
