    Me too LOL, I run from excited to nervous to excited. I wish it was the day after surgery already LOL. This anticipation is killing me. When do you go for your pre-op testing?

    My doctor doesn't require a pre-op diet either. I kept saying that i would do one anyway to be on the safe side but each day i have buckled and ate solids. They have been healthy solids just the same... I go for my pre-op testing tomorrow and will ask if I have any restrictions or requirments. Good Luck with your journey. And DONT beat yourself up about it. As long as you know and understand the rules your doctor did give you and plan to follow those you should do fine.

    My surgeon will be doing the sil on me if my liver has shrunk. She said she would go through the belly button.. But if its bigger she would have to revert to standard laprospic procedure. Hope my liver is shrunken enough lol.

    Ok my surgery is scheduled for 11/9/09. YAY!!! My doctor said we dont have to do a pre-op... But I kinda wanna do one anyway. Can someone who had or has to do it please tell me the rules... Also what does the pre-op physical consist of?

    My surgery date falls on a monday so I took off the rest of the week and am thinking that depending on how that week goes I can take more time off if I need it. Hopefully I will be one of the lucky ones who bounce back... I have a desk job too so it shouldn't be so bad... Plus would love to save my vacation time if I can...

    Hi all, Is anyone else getting that last supper feeling??? I gave up soda in june and have been doing well with out it, and today i broke down and had one with lunch, now I can't stop thinking about leaving work and bringing home a six pack, LOL. Does anyone else feel like or plan on having a last hurrah??

    Good Luck!!! I am scheduled for 11/9/09!!! My Doc said i didnt have to do a liquid pre-diet... I just have to be NPO after Midnight the night before... I want to do the liquid diet anyway So if anyone can give me the rules for it I would appreciate it... also do you guys have to do a pre-op physical? What does that consist of? Thanx

    Hi Shmoopy, I am sooo excited I got my surgery date today 11/09/09!!!! my surgeon is Dr. Julie Kim. How many incision holes do you have? She said she could go through my belly button and one other for the port?? Is that what you had? Also was there any pre-op testing or physical you had to do? how long before the surgery? How are you? any closer to the 50lb mark? Well good luck with your progress...

    I called today (exactly 2 weeks later). They said they will call me either later today or tomorrow to set up a date. My Surgeon usually does mondays and tuesdays for surgery so hopefully I will be a band member by Turkey Day!!

    I saw the surgeon a week ago today. She said they would contact me after they get my insurance authorization, which I could expect a call within two weeks. And that I was looking at a date in late October or early November. Can I call today to check the status? I dont want to be a pain... but my boss needs to know sooner then later because he is creating the next two months schedule. Or should I just be patient until next week?

    I called insurance company and they said they have recieved NOTHING from hospital yet!!! The insurance lady even checked the fax with me holding to Dble check. I am kinda annoyed because i was led to believe it was pending approval... It cant be approved if it doesn't yet exist to the Insurance company. The surgeon said they would call within 2 weeks so i will wait until tuesday and then I am calling them and my Insurance to see what the hold up is. I am trying to be patient but it is SOOO hard. LOL hopefully by this time next week I will have more info....
