You know I first started looking into the band bc my sister (16 years my senior and a bit heavier than me) wanted me to go to the free seminar with her. Turns out...her insurance would cover bypass and NOT the band, so she did do it. Mine covers everything. I dont know why an insurance company wouldnt cover the band. Its cheaper! Maybe bc its not a "sure thing".

Hi there! No, I am in Stuart. I just stumbled across this website as I was doing research about the lapband. I started looking at profiles and pics and adding people that I wanted to chat with and hopefully become friends with. : )

Im scared, but think this may be a good choice for me. I have basically been heavy my whole life (up and down), been on every diet in the book more than once w/ no success. I've pretty much had it! I don't know if my insurance will pay for it, but Im almost positive it will b/c they DO pay for gastric bypass.
