Doctor update: He went ahead and put another 2cc in today. He said we will just keep goin until we find the right spot. He said I was an overacheiver!

Thanks. I called the Dr. Office and they agreed to let me come in today. I am not sure if he is gonna give me some more fill this quickly or if he is gonna tell me to suck it up and come back next month. lol

Banded in June and I just had my first fill last Thursday. Prior to the fill I found that I could eat and drink nearly the same amounts that I could prior to getting banded. In other words nothing gets stuck. It has been a week now since the fill and there is no change. I can still eat whatever! I am getting a bit frustrated.

Drank 1/2 cup 100% apple juice diluted with 1/2 cup Water. Feelin like a champ so far! My mouth has cleared up significantly and I don't have that sick feeling right now. I am going to make some egg salad, get some refried Beans, instant mashed potatoes, and cottage cheese at the store to try them and prepare for work this week. Any other food suggestions appreciated! I REALLY believe the sugar free addatives had something to do with my sickness! Lesson learned!

Thanks John! Not suppose to be on mushies yet. BUT, I actually ate a little cream of wheat this morning and it seems to be helping a little.

You guys are all awesome! I knew posting was the right thing to do! Ok I slept okay and I feel a little better this morning. I just ate 2tbl of cream of wheat and a sip of 2% milk and it actually tasted good. No sickness yet. Thanks to everyone and Ill check in tonight with an update. l'll also call the dr office and get their feedback.

ya know I think I may be having issues with all the sugar free sweetner (aspertame or whatever they put in that stuff). I don't know its the only thing I can think of.

Thanks. I have taken my temp but thats normal. I called him and they said to go ahead and try mushed up scrambled eggs, or cotage cheese. I did. No help I'm gonna call the office again in the morning.

I was banded on the 17th and i am miserable as well! I wish I wanted food. I don't want anything but to crawl up and die! I have soooo much nausea! I want to throw up ALL the time. I ve lost 37 pounds in 16 days and I dont even care.

I was banded on June 17th and have had nausea ever since. I have been on liquids since 10 days pre op. I have no appetite to drink or eat anything at all. I try to keep drinking water, crystal light etc... I am soooooo sick right now it the worst day yet! my mouth is dry and it tatse terrible. My tounge is green/gray and thick and gross!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! please someone tell me what will make me feel better besides the meds. i am taking the nausea medicince. I have lost 37 pounds in the last 16 days. Im at the point of wondering why I did this. I don't fell like I will ever get better!!!! Im sorry to whine on here but i figured someone may be able to share the experience or know what to do.

I too am glad to find some other guys to talk to. I was just banded on June 17th. I am big guy, 6'3 397 at the start, with a bmi of 51. I have lost 31 pounds since pre op liquid diet. Banding was the only option for me. Bypass scares the crap out of me. I hear too many horror stories from that. Plus I ask a personal friend who is a cardiologist sort of jokingly "am i gonna die from this surgery" and he said relax you have a better chance of dying on the way to the hospital than you do from the banding. He was very pro banding as a cardiologist and has seen alot of success with his patient who have had it. Well, good luck guys. Hollar at me if you wanna chat or compare war stories.

The doc gave me meds but the upset stomach only disapates for about 2 hours then I have to wait another two hours to take it again. I only have about 5 hours of non-sickness a day. From the sounds of it I guess thats the way its gonna be for a while. :tongue:

I was banded on Wednesday the 17th. As of this morning I have lost 31 pounds since starting my 10 day pre op liquid diet. Most of the pain is gone but I am super nausious all the time! When is this gonna end or what can I do to make the sickness go away. Blah!
