Leenerbups, hang in there. Todays fill may take several days to reach full effect, at least that is my experience. I am like you, I can eat anything. I do not eat four whoppers and four fries in 10 minutes anymore. The hunger monster is always lurking waiting for me to eat carbs. The simple carbs are like waving a red flag in front of a bull. I work on staying away from simple carbs, and yes like you I dislike working out. If I do my workout as household chores, sweeping, moping and picking-up it is not so bad. My girl like it too, more time for helping her grade papers for her class-yuk. I my take up exercise when its time to grade papers-double yuk.

Susannah, I am a banded person who talks highly about banding. My girl has had RNY for about 4 years. I belive that you are right about the band being safe inside your body. Their are sometimes problems with banding. The band may not be rejected by the body, but it may "slip", "leak", and cause other problems. The rate of problems is small. The most complaints seem to be that it takes a long time to reach the "sweet spot" of restriction. People want to say that the Doctors are taking too long to fill them. To say it over, I belive that the band is a great tool and I recomend it.

I was told that 4 out of 5 people to be banded have a hiatal hernia that is repaired while banding. It was no big deal fo my Dr. We need more information about hiatal hernia repairs before, during and after banding.

Nykee, give Dr. Ortiz a call, he has a lot of experience and was your band Dr. It would be good information for all of us to learn more about hiatal hernia. Dr. C information about not seeing a hiatal hernia without going in is the type of first hand knowlage we need. Information on how to avoid a hiatal hernia after banding would also be helpfull.

Hey MaxDog, what are you eating? Carbs? eat meat, go on a Atkins diet to help your fills. Do not forget to chew, chew, chew or you will get stuck. Is it hunger in your gut, or in your head? It took me a long time to know that the gut talked softly and my head was yelling EAT or die. Its is a life long thing that we learn to eat, be happy, get fat. Nobody smart said it was easy. Stay away from the carbs.

My fills with fillcenterusa in St. Pete were GREAT. I am very happy with them. I am sorry to hear that someone has had a bad time. I will keep going to them and reporting the outcome. I had my fills done with flouroscope and it went so easy, both fills have been enough to make the restriction work well. I am right on tract with my weight loss. I expect to get another fill in a couple of weeks when I go back to Tampa.

It would be my guess that more females have this help, us guys are just to hard headed. Get used to the gas, it seems to be a lasting thing. Yes I slept on my back the first few days. Gumbling, well it goes with the gas. Read the girls stuff, they have lots of good information and are much less hard headed. Us guys have most of the same conserns and challanges as the girls. Guys may not be looking to have breast implants but the TT is very likely.

It has been by understanding that if you can loose 1-2 pounds per week that is good.

Good Job, buddy...take it easy. Do a lot of walking it will help.
