Well, I have another date. I've always heard that the 3rd time is the charm. Dh and I will be leaving on our 7 hour flight on Sept. 30th. Tickets are booked and paid for and date cleared with Nina. I will be missing 3 days of work but don't have to be back till October 13 due to fall break. Hubby was told last week that he would be laid off this week. Things will be tough for awhile but we decided to go ahead with the surgery, I have canned a lot of fresh vegs. from my garden and hubby has a freezer full of blackberries and a hog he killed. He always gets a deer too. Plus I have over 100 chickens. I plan to down size on the chicks though, so I won't have to buy a lot of feed for them this winter. Can you tell I live in the country? I have a hillbilly accent to go along with it. Sorry for rambling. Just wanted to share my new date. Have a nice and restful Sunday afternoon. Judy

Hi Nanna Carol, My 3 grandkids call me Nanny too. Upton is about halfway between Louisville and Bowling Green. Yeah, I agree we have had alot of rain this year. You can plant some late potatoes and maybe have better luck. I have squash and cucumbers running out of my ears too. I have a whole basket of stuff I'm giving away tomorrow. I have 14 dozen eggs in my frig. that I have to take to a little country store tommorow. What else do you have planted in your garden? Carolphx, I do have a lot of stuff canned for this winter. I will enjoy the rest of the family eating it after Oct. 1. LOL Maybe I can blend some of the veg. Soup after I'm allowed full liquids. Judy

It's hard sometimes Daisy but I've been around little kids all my life and I guess you just get used to it. I was in a class a couple of years ago that just about did me in. You name it and they did it plus more. LOL SoCal, that is so funny about the chicken manure. I built my hen house on a little hill. When it rains the manure washes out of the chicken lot into the little field behind it. That is where I planted my blackbery vines. They stay naturaly fertilized and we have lots of berries without much work. All this self efficent knowledge comes in handy sometimes. We were trapped here for about 2 weeks last winter during an ice storm. No electricity, phone, Water. We made it fine. I have a gas cook stove to cook on. A wood stove in the basement for heat. Worse part was melting snow and ice to water the chickens and take a bath. It's just the way I was raised. I taught my 12 year old granddaughter this year how to can pickles. She loved it. Judy

I joined a Slim and Trim this morning. She said it was just like curves but she has extra workout equiment. It's only 5 minutes from where I work. Cost $27 a month and 4 free visits in the tanning bed. I have never been in a gym or fitness center or t. bed. But I broke free and went today. I really enjoyed it. My parents always said that exercise was for lazy people. Good honest productive hard work everyday and you didn't have to waste your time jumping around.:lol0::lol0::lol0: I just won't tell them. LOL Judy

Party time! Daisy, some days I do have extra energy so I push myself. I then pay for it later. I will feel drained for a day or two until I can get my strength back up again. I am trying not to push it for a few days. My kindergarteners will start on the 6th and I need to be ready. I usually have to come home and take a 30 min. nap before I can do anything the rest of the day. I know loosing weight will help get my energy back to normal so I can keep up with a room full of 5 year olds. Judy

Thank You Alex! This is really nice of you to give such a great prize. Judy -
Well Vegas, if your hair is coming in curly after the sleeve maybe mine will come back in straight. I was born with very curly hair. I blowdry then take a hot curling iron to try and stretch it out. If I don't do this everyday it looks like I have an afro. When I'm home by myself I just let it be curly. Judy
