  1. I just receivd an explanation of benefits and my fill doctor charged my insurance company $1500 for fills and called it surgery. Consequently, after Dec., I will have to find a different fill doctor.

    Tha full feeling.......

I was banded the same day as you. I am feeling everything you are describing. It would probably take least a cup of food to get that sensation, but I stick to the 3-4 oz. my doctor recommended. I am hungry again in an hour. I have an 8cc band with a 2cc fill two weeks ago. The doctor had intended to put in 4cc, but I got stuck at 3cc. I will go back in another week to try another fill. I was beginning to think my band had slipped or I had stretched my pouch. I have suddenly gained 2 pounds. However, I just had my first PB and believe me, it is an experience I do not wish to repeat, so I guess this band is working. Maybe additonal fills will help us.
  3. I just had my first fill today. I was reading about fills and saw your post. I had surgery on 6/25 at Baylor in Frisco with Dr. Cribbins. I live in McKinney. I have lost 20 lbs. Ten was from the three weeks prior to surgery. I had a lower BMI since I am short. My diabetes was getting very hard to control and I had several other medical problems. I think the band will help me lose 35, but the rest will take some exercise and work on my part. I was just starting to enjoy a few more foods six weeks out. After this fill, I am back on liquids. They could only fill 2cc in an 8cc band today. I will go back in two weeks to get 2cc's more. I hope that will help with this hunger. It seems I have been hungry for eight weeks (3 weeks prior and six weeks after). I am a little grouchy today and my port site is still very sore. I hope you are doing well and wish you the best.
