The meatloaf was a good thing .. I ate very slow , and no problems .. Even with the rice in it . Thanks for the recipes and book titles !!!

The cajun meatloaf is made with tomato soup.. I added 2 cans of Soup and cut the rice to 1/2 cup. Just so it ould be mushable with a fork. Who is the book by?? I think I would like to buy that one .

I have not cooked since being banded... Tonight I am going to make dinner for DH.. Cajun meatloaf (made with rice , green peppers and topped with mozzarella . This is a very moist meatloaf so I figure I can have about 2 table spoons of it . I make it with ground sirloin.

I ate 1 ounce of cream cheese last night .

I was banded Oct 15.. Still not exercising .. Cannot even walk since there is so much rain every day - day & night. I need a boat to cross my back yards.. The neighborhood kids will have to use jet skis and zodiacs for trick or treating . I also have 2bad knees, 1 replaced - not so good ,, the other one is SHOT and I cannot get in the pool until after 5 weeks.So this is difficult for me .

Sorry to hear about the bunny -- Justmake sure that you do not adopt a male & female or your entire garage will turn into a bunny hutch...It is hard to lose a fur baby.

My doctor sent me home with 2 prescriptions.. One liquid for pain and phenergan liquid for nausea. The liquid pain killer is foul tasting, but it is better than being in pain. I get my 1st fill Nov.24th.

This has been a day from hell, all I can think about is salad. Lettuce, baby spinach ,arugla,TOMATOES AND MORE TOMATOES.. Maybe a little red onion and some mandarin oranges and jicama. Yesterday it was meat. filet and roast beef.. I don't even like red meat !!!!! Has this band somhow warped my mind????

We all need a pity party now and then and we need people to join us , so we know we are not alone . I was banded Oct15.. So far the WORST thing I have done is had 1 tablesoon of scrambled egg today. Dh put it in the food processor for me .. I think the biggest thing we are missing is the family interaction and 2nd biggest of all TEXTURE. I want different textures .. Not Water , juice and broth .. Believe it or not , but that atble spoon of scrambled egg made my day much better. I do not intened to do it again tomorrow , but it was a nice treat. hang in there, we will ALL be better for what we are doing .

gringo Bingo is another way of sayin Montezumas Revenge. Now anything I eat that is sugar free runs right thru me ..

Also had hiatal hernia , that they repaired while in there. This is day 6 for me -- am still on Clear liquids, but am playing "gringo bingo" even tho I have had no solids. Anybody else having this problem??

OMG-- I thought it was just me .. I am soooo sick of Soup, Jello and juice drinks. This morning . DH made a scrambled egg, then put it thru the food processor. I had 1 tablespoon of egg and it was pure heaven. I am drinking Protein shots, but it does not seem to be enough to keep me from getting the shakes. This one ounce every 15 min is a major pain in the @$$. I think more about food now then I ever have.. Setting the little timer every 15 min is really wearing on my last nerve.

I am with you.. I was banded Oct 15 and am sooooooo sick of soup I could cry (and have cried ).. I was never much of a soup eater .. Chili yes- colored Water No. I am down 9#

I read all of the posts and am so confused by some of the LapBand lingo. Could somebody psot a list for us newbies? Also I am 8 days out and I am soooooooo thirsty. I want to take a glass of Water and drink til it is empty...

Cruise Lines offer "Heart Smart" and also "Dieters Menu". Shrimp cocktail for your appetizer--and then what ever lean meat product that is always on the menu. Most of the onboard soups are heavy , yummy creamy soups. You can also ask for the childs portions(menu)

I am with you on the disgusting liquid pain meds !! Y U K !!!! As thirsty as I am , that is the LAST thing I want to drink!!

It took me a while to figure it out too.. I am 6 days past surgery and still having "gas" issues' If i was a gas powerd ship, I could sail around the world.. Just play with the website-- soooooo much info from other bandsters... Keep us posted.

I was banded 10/15/09 and let me tell you , if there was Olympic Competition for farting , I would be on the gold medal podium.. I als belch - long and loud-- it is creepy, but hey halloween in coming up so this might work to my advantage. My biggest problem, is "gringo bingo"-- I get a rumbling and make a beeline for the bathroom.. So far I have made it on time, but it quite scary.. I have had NO SOLIDS -so where is this coming from??

Hang in there-- this is a good thing we are doing .. I for one want to take the load off of my heart and my knees.. I am doing this for ME !!!

I am type 2 diabetic and I carry New Whey liquid protein. There is 42 g of protein in 3.4 oz tube . Different flavors.. I plan to keep using it after I am banded Oct 15.
