Hi there! I will be walking with the lap band coordinator from my hospital...not sure if we'll have anyone else with us. Since we have to pick up our shirts, why don't we meet either there or close to the sign in area, if they are seperate? Let me know what you think...I hope there are several of us there :-) The weather looks like it's going to be wonderful!!!

Anything that went in my mouth, including water, caused me great discomfort. I had to take a Gas X or Tums before eating anything. I would have at least one episode of "productive burping" a day. It felt completely different from the way you feel when you've eaten too much...it was painful! I hope this answers your question :-) Be sure to communicate with your doctor, if you have any concerns. I waited way too long to contact mine because I thought I was just supposed to be feeling that way. Good luck!

The walk from obesity is being held nationwide on September 30th. Visit walkingfromobesity.com and see if you have a city near you. I will be walking in Dallas, Texas, along with other people that were banded by the same doctor.

Wow! Glad to hear everything is going well :-) I'm super happy since the second surgery and am looking foward to my first fill on Thursday. Only 50 pounds to go....

Divanita2006, I'm so glad your'e interested and it's great to see that others have signed up in their state. I just registered @ www.walkfromobesity.com. The cost is $25.00 and you get a free t-shirt. I'll be attending my first support group meeting on Tuesday and I hope to get more people interested. I feel that it's our responsibility as bandsters to support and participate these types of events. Let me know if you need any other info :-) PS All of the walks are on September 30 and when you log on to the site, you'll see how many cities nationwide are participating.

Any of you DFW bandsters participating in the Walk From Obesity on September 30th? Check out their website...seems to be alot like Race for the Cure. There is one in Dallas and it looks like Baylor is the local sponsor. I will be there with the lap band coordinator from the hospital. I would love to see y'all there, maybe even walk as a group of LBT'ers. It should be great for walking in September and this will be an easy, fun way to get some exercise in!

Most of the posts that I've been able to find regardin revision are from people who had their revisions years after their initial surgery. Is there anyone out there in LBT land that had to have their band revised as quickly as I did? My surgeon said my did a slip and flip, probably caused by vomiting. I just got home from the hospital today and feel better than I did after the initial surgery. Also, is anyone doing the Walk From Obesity in September? If you're interested, check out their website and find out if a walk is being held near you.

Mine is on the left side, just below my rib cage. I was told there wasn't any other option. It will be interesting, since that's the side I carry my 2 yr old on, when needed. I'm short waisted, being only 5 ft tall, so I have had a bit of discomfort. I was just banded on July 5th, so good luck to you!

Sorry that you are so uncomfortable! Any history of gallbladder disease?
