I have been struggling with my weight most of my life. I have always been a stocky child and from the pictures of my childhood was given whatever I wanted to eat. In Highschool, I tried to lose weight and was successful. However, in college weight was piling on and my habits had not changed. At 20 and 80 pounds later, I was informed that I had polycystic ovaries and children would be iffy. At this point they described the troubles of weight loss and child bearing. By this time I didnt really think my weight was an issue; I guess i had accepted my faith. Didnt have diabeties, high blood pressure or any other weight related illnesses. I thought I was just a Healthy big gurl. At the age of 26, I was diagnosed with arthiritis in both knees. The right knee barely has any cartiledge. Of course, the doctor said to lose weight. So the journey began. I have tried every diet that has been advertised. So many that I won't even waste the time to type them. My last effort was my nutritionist who tries very hard and when I told her of my decision. She was very supportive. At 31, I now have high blood pressure. I guess the older you get the more at risk you are. I am not sure. But this week, I start my journey to completely change my life. And I am ready.
