I craved bean with bacon Soup until I could have it. :tongue_smilie:Even blended, it was very good. What kind of fish did you eat? I bought Gorton's grilled fish, but haven't tried it yet. Any other favorite mushies? Thanks!

My doctor and the dietician said to use the protein shakes as snacks to help get in enough protein. They do not recommend the protein shakes ongoing as they do not give enough substance to sustain appetite. I had one week liquids, one week full liquids and then mushies, but that includes crackers, soft white fish, etc. I'm on the last part of week two and need something with taste. I'm going to try some tomato soup. Oh, one more thing....I can have 1/2 cup at a time. If anyone has ideas for good and tasty mushies, please let me know.

I see I'm very lucky to have only needed to do three days of Clear Liquids pre-op. I could have even had Protein shakes, but found out too late. My doctor had required five days in the past, but not believes three days clear liquids is sufficient. I'm three days post-op now and things are going very well. I'm doing three EAS Protein Shakes a day and other liquids in between. I don't think I'm getting in enough fluids, but will try to do more tomorrow.

2911, I guess you have started on the next phase of foods. Are you eating Cream of Wheat and blended oatmeal? What types of foods are doing well for you? -

I got banded June 3. They also took out my gallbladder as it was very bad. I have some pain, but none in my shoulder from the gas. I think that makes me very lucky! It continues to be a bit difficult to get up and down, especially in and out of bed. I put pillows behind me in the recliner and that helped a ton. I'm doing laps in my house. I have one larger incision and six punctures. I had more due to my gallbladder being removed. I'm drinking my Protein shakes...1/2 cup three or four times a day and other liquids in between. -
I will get banded by Dr. Minkin this Wednesday. I have a friend who has been very sucessful with his program. I'm excited, but quite nervous.
