OK so you have to pay 10%- I am paying $10k This is the most expensive diet tool ever- and I can't wait- I wish I would have done it a long time ago. My date is Thursday- it can't come soon enough. I think that you need to listen to your heart... and you may not have insurance that will cover this in 10 yrs and have to pay for it like me.... good luck and let us know if you decide!!

you MUST follow the doctor's directions.... you are most likely not getting enough Protein by doing what you are with the mix. try a pre-made shake- EAS makes some good ones you can find at Walmart--- personally i can't do the powders- I invested in the pre-mixed drinks.... there is also one similar to gatoraide... i didn't like it but GNC carries it- Isopure- you have a week left- I wish you luck. I only needed to do one week of pre-op but am doing two...

there are issues with the chat room right now -to log in do the following (btw- nobody ignores people it just means that the people logged in are away- there is a green dot next to name that indicated they are there- if it is red or orange they are away) Most people are in late afternoon (6pm est) there are a group of people that come in around 10am est look forward to seeing you- I am there most every night... anyone trying to get into the chat room tonight... log out at the top right... then don't log back on there.... click on chat... then it will ask you to log on there.... do that --- it takes a few mins but you can get in.... I am on day 7 of my pre-op- did not have any of those problems at all. What I am doing is not slim fast... I went to GNC and got shakes that are sugar free (Lean Body- chocolate Ice Cream flavor) my doctor said that the shakes need to contain min 15 grams of protein- they have 25 grams (keeps u fuller) so I drink one for Breakfast, then drink 2 bottles of Water in between breakfast and lunch, I also have one banana in this time as well, then lunch is a 2nd shake, and dinner is 6 oz of chicken or fish, veggies and small salad with ff dressing. I could easily switch dinner for another shake- I have not felt hungry (except yesterday) this whole week. I have not had any bowel issues either.... I would up your intake of H2O and at the very least add a piece of fruit. If your doctor's office is passing off a person as a Nutritionist and they arn't make sure your insurance company is not paying for that service and request a referral to a real one. This is a key person in your journey. Good Luck!!!

Hi guys! Well I fall in this boat as well but I can't spend my time worrying about what is in his head. I tell him 10 times a day how much I love him and appreciate his (reluctant) support. He was so against the surgery at first and I sat him down and asked him if he was going to be supportive... he said "I don't have a choice" like a pouty 12 yr old- I said you always have choices...you may not like them but they are (a) become supportive or (:frown: we will be over... suddenly after about 3 days he is REALLY supportive. I am on pre-op and every morning he calls and says did you lose anything and I am down 10 lbs and I can hear it in his voice that he is proud. One thing I could suggest is to share this thread with your SO... they may learn a thing or two.... Mine also said that when I lose weight that I will want a better version of him... I said if that is what I wanted I would have been looking for him..fat or not... I didn't settle for him because I was fat...UGH!! That drives me NUTS. Anyway good luck on your journey!!

sweetie---- please take a deep breath and hang in there. Try a different protein drink- I like GNC's Lean Body to go--- it is pre-mixed and comes in chocolate ice cream and vanilla ice cream- I find the pre mixed drinks work better for me and u put in the fridge to make them very cold.... you can do this... don't give up!!!

Congrats! Mine is July 16th- i am going to Michigan to have mine done because of being self pay- so good luck and keep in touch.
