Hi Absolutstyle, I was banded March 27th in Mexico. It was self- pay (LONNNNNGGG story there!), by Dr. Lopez. I was a little nervous, but checked out the hospital and was very comfortable. They picked me up from the airport, took me to the hospital, had the procedure, went to a FABULOUS (5 star might I add!) hotel connected (so I didnt even have to go outside the facilitiies). I know this sounds like an ad, but what can I say, I am a happy bandster. On my 2nd fill June 19th! Hey! I am loving my band...I was banded March 27th 2009 by Dr. Lopez, through ISA. Im going for my 2nd fill June 19th, first fill was May 15th. Restriction is there, just need a little more to find my sweet spot! Financing!! ARGGGGGG I was self-pay also, credit was kinda poor so I couldnt get approved through the care credit and WLS financing companies. I did come up with a way to get the money though - without using credit. If you want to email me, I'd be more than happy to share with you...its VERY frustrating.....BUT I found a way.
