Has anyone ever had an unfill and then experience no restriction? Right before Labor Day I went in for my 4th fill where they put in .5 and it ended up being too tight and I had to go back in on 9/8 to have .2 taken out. Now I’m feeling less restriction, meaning less than what I was feeling before the 4th fill. Is this normal? I know sometimes the band has to readjust itself so maybe in a few days it will kick in?? I’m disappointed b/c I was hopeful this fill would be the fill, but now I’m not so sure.

Slight Unfill and now a lot less restriction
LazyLoops replied to LazyLoops's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I actually think my restriction is coming back. Yes, i do battle with head hunger but have learned that when i get hungry to stop and figure out where its coming from. I'm still doing the boredom snacking and trying to break myself from it which might be my biggest struggle yet. -
Friendship Lost over the Band
LazyLoops replied to leftover_eidoes's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I'm going through a similar thing with my friend. I was bigger than her and lost a lot of weight a few years ago. Then recently she started dieting and lost weight to where she was smaller than me. Then I was banded in May and she constantly puts it down and says sometimes hurtful things to me. I think its jealousy maybe, or something, i dont know. Women can be so catty and nasty sometimes that I would rather write her off than listen to the negativity on something that affects only me and my life. Just take care of you and don’t worry about what other think. If she was a true friend, the support would be overwhelming and she would help keep you motivated to succeed. Its sad that she doesn’t, but luckily you have all of us! -
Slight Unfill and now a lot less restriction

The fill was too tight b/c I couldnt eat anything except liquids. I was throwing up everything that slightly even the slightest bit thick including cream of chicken Soup. Water was the only thing that didnt give me a problem and it was even slow to go down. I'm not losing, but not gainign either. Tomorrow is the second week since my unfill and I still dont feel any different. I'm going to stick it out to the 4 week mark before i go in for another adjustment just to give it some more time. -
I love Cracker Barrel. I really watch what i eat all week and then reward myself on saturdays with one blueberry pancake and some bacon. It gives me something to look foward to.

Total has a Total Protein cereal that is pretty good and has 10 grams of protein in it. I eat it with skim milk which also has 10 grams of protein and no fat and I add some fruit. I would be a huge liar if I said it was my favorite thing to eat, but its ok for fast on the run breakfast (or dinner).

Banded between 200lb - 210lb

Weighed 209.. banded 5/22 and weigh 202. Had my first fill yesterday and hope to start losing some weight. -
I know how you feel. Not many people know that I had the surgery; only my mom, fiancée, and best friend and they make me crazy. The entire time I’m eating they watch me like a hawk, which makes me nervous, and constantly make comments like "are you ok?", "slow down", "are you sure you're ok?", "chew, chew, chew", "that looked like a big bite, are you ok?"... UGH! I know that they’re trying to help, but they really are driving me to the breaking point where I want to scream. I finally snapped at lunch today and yelled at my fiancée and told him he was making me a nervous wreck. I just can’t take it.

I had my band surgery 5/22 and have been on the lovely liquid only diet. About 45 minutes ago without thinking, i swallowed my gum. I feel fine, but should i worry? Thanks!

Eat as much as I want, or stuck. Pick one.

You and I are in the same boat, I totally understand. I was banded on 5/22 and get frustrated at how much I can eat as long as I chew it to death. I can't wait till I go in for a fill. -
thank you!

How soon is too soon for real food?
LazyLoops replied to September75's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Wow, you're lucky. I was banded 5/22 and per the doctor's orders, have 8 more days before I can move to mushy foods. Tomorrow I get to incorporate thicker liquids to the Clear Liquids I have been on. It's odd how every surgeon has a different set of rules. I can see why people would start to venture out on their own.
