I am to aim for 64fl oz of fluid and 60grams of protien.. In the form of a shake. Are your soups just the broth?? There shouldn't be any chunks.. Liquid enough to go through a strainer. You can do yogurt.. With know fruit. My dr wants this done for 2 weeks and then mashed, puréed for 4 wks . She likes to be cautious. Remember the average pouch can hold 4oz at a time.

Oh goodness,are you traveling?? Can't even fathom that. Using stomach muscles just kill.

I had my surgery the 16th as well. I take pepsid. I broke open the capsule and they are tiny little beads. My issue is just pain. No problem with keeping anything down. Hope it gets better for both of us.

Hi All, I just got home late last night from haveing the sleeve done on Monday. I swear I wasy dying yesterday,but managable today. Of course,moving around is slow and anything to do with using core muscles..forget it. I have been drinking my protien drinks 1 oz at a time. It looks like Ill be drinking like this all day. I took off two weeks of work and hope that will be enough. I have two weeks of liquid,then I get to move on to mashed,pureed. At this point no food interest me. In a day or so I get to pull out my lidocain drip. My surgeon places a lidocain drip over your stomach and a tub comes out of a inscion area. Its a fusion type pump. It gets carried around a bag arond my neck. If your a Dr.Who fan..it will remind you of the OOds. ; ) I am up walking alot around the house,drinking and just trying to get the time to pass. Not a fan of this period of this who journey. I wanna sleep,but cant and staying awake is hard too. Eye on the goal right?? I hate pain.

I only have to do a week of liquid diet the week before. Awesome on the loss!!

HI!! Ohh how cool that you are both doing it together. That is a great support right there!! I am having the sleeve done. My Dr. felt that was the best for my situation. I was told that its quit helpful to attend the groups. I will definitaly be going to what my office offers. I hope to have mine done in mid/late June to early July. I have alot of kid activity going on. End of school year stuff and one graduating high school. I actually almost feel bad because I just bought Hawaiian falls passes and the kids are SO excited to go ALL the time. I am hoping that maybe on the second week of recovery I can at least go a veg in the shade. Good luck and keep in touch!!

HI Linda, The eval was very simple. I had about 700plus true and false questions and then spent about 30 minutes with the counslor. Quit painless. I was deemed a bit crazy..no suprise there..lol. Naw..he said nothing to hold me back from succeeding in my goals. I am using Dr.Kennedy she is in Plano,Rockwall and Dallas. My Gyn Dr. actually used her and gave me the referrel,so I feel quit comfortable with her. Actually,the whole staff in Rockwall just rocks. They are a pretty fun and caring group of ladies. They have a once a month support group and also a awesome workout guy that has classes right there at the office. His goal is to get our core strength to where it should be. I look forward to getting back into weightlifting as I did eons ago. How are you recovering?? Thats a great loss so far!!

Hi.. Out here in Rockwall!! I've been seeing Dr.Kennedy at presbyterian Rockwall hospital.for the sleeve . I am just waiting for insurance then I'll get a date. I'm so excited !
