Prior to having Lap-Band surgery, I weighed about 428 pounds and wore a size 34. I was ashamed to mention my weight or size to anyone. Some people take small thins for granted, such as being able to see your collarbone, crossing your legs or being able to shop at more then one store. All of these things are new and exciting to me! I'm walking in Newness, I proclaim my freedom from Food I now don’t mind taking photographs. I am sure I’ve missed out on a lot of memories due to being 428 lbs and very unhappy. This surgery has made me feel so blessed. I feel great when I get compliments so please dont stop them lol. This experience has allowed me to become excited about working out, YES me working out GOD is good. I learned about six months after my surgery that this procedure is not an instant fix or a success without me doing my part. My part consisted of working out diligently 4-6 days a week. One of my banded sister's posted on her page your surgery is not the only contributing factor to losing weight successfully; your persistent effort in the gym also needs to be factored into the equation this is so true. God rewarded me when I perservere in seeking him. He may not showed me his face when I wanted Him To, but he was right on time. Thanks Lord for my Life back!
