Wowzaa! I am at 9.6 as of 12/8/10 & let me tell you it's tight! I was at 8 for 14 months and only kept off a pound the only time I would feel restriction is when my cycle was about to start. Cheers to a New Year! -

Hi, I just got my fourth fill on 12-8-10 I hadn't been to my Dr. since October 2009. I was so mortified with myself that I wasn't loosing any weight the last time I had seen him in 10-09 he filled me up to 8cc and I thought wow for sure I am on the skinny train to palm springs this summer. Well come to find out not so much. I was talking to a friend and I had told her how disgusted I was with myself that I went under surgery etc spent money and I was failing what I had wanted so badly. She told me it happens all the time and not to feel embarassed. So I went to my Dr on the 8th and was filled up too 9.6 and let me tell you this I am tight in the past 9 days I have dropped 10 pounds! I think after everyone gets back into the routine after the first I am going to have it loosend a smidge the throwing up is just too much! -
First fill (yay!) But only 2cc?

first fill today also I was expecting it to be painful but not at all! I think my dr did between 3-4 cc's I was able to eat 2 cups of soup about 5 hours after my appt and just right now my stomach growled for the first time today. -

Wow Carbgirl you had your surgery the day after me! And you are down 24? That's rad me not so much! After your first fill did you lose a bunch and how much did they fill it? OH YEah and when did they fill it? -

Hi, I am getting my first fill tomorrow 6/9/09 and I am very curious what I should buy for groceries. Taking any suggestions. -
I go in tomorrow (Tuesday) 6/9 for my first fill I am only down 10 I am right with both of you!

I go in on Tuesday for my fill! I didn't know anything about how long it would take to get my first fill ugh! In my mind I would of already been down 50 pounds since having it done, so not the case though.

It's been sooo much easier since the fill, but I think I'm already ready for another one. I get full, but I don't stay full for very long.

I lost about 12 pounds prior to my first fill... I was 272.9 at my highest and 261 at surgery. I don't know remember exactly what my weight was at my first fill, but it was about... 250(?). I lost 10-12 pounds during liquids, then gained back a pound or two on solids waiting on the fill. I had my first fill April 21, a little over six weeks from surgery. My doc wouldn't do it before the six weeks. I can't imagine having to wait 8!! Hang in there, though - it's worth it!
