Anyone know of Dr De Bruyne Chris

Hi ShellyG, thanks & hello to you all Yeah Bridget works for Europesurgery.co.uk who are agents for Dr Chris, I approached them about being banded as I didnt know at the time you could go direct to Dr Chris. So does this mean that I don't have to go to Julie Tosh for my fills and can use WLS instead? Also do WLS have any clinics in or near Manchester? x

Anyone know of Dr De Bruyne Chris

Hi everyone I'm new to all this so please treat me gently! I'm booked in with Dr Chris in Vilvoorde to have my band done on the 15th September, it seams like years away! I've been reading lots of threads and postings on here but would still like to ask a few questions. Got op sorted, hotel & flights, etc but I'm a bit confused about the fills. I've been liasing with Bridget who has sorted everything out & she has given me a number for Julie Tosh to have my 1st fill done approx. 6 weeks after op. I've heard the name WLS on here & it seems that alot of you use them. Is Julie Tosh part of WLS? Only just been emailed all info from Bridget so haven't chance to speak to her yet. I'm a bit confused which really isn't hard for me! Cheers guys Sam.
  3. Hi everyone My name is Samantha, I live near Manchester, England and I am having a gastric band fitted on the 15th September '09 by Dr Chris De Bruyne, in Vilvoorde, Brusels. Can any one tell me what happens to the band when you have reached your goal weight? Surely if it gets taken out your appetite will return along with the weight! Do they then leave it in, fi so for how long? I look forward to any help anyone can give. Thanks guys
  4. Thanks RestlessMonkey Did much research on the surgen before booking, he comes to England every 6 weeks for infills, about 12 miles away from were I live. I have spoken to several people in England who have been banded by him, he has a thread on this web site and they all give him good feedback so fingers crossed! :-/
  5. Thanks guys That makes a lot of sense, I'm really excited about being banded and can't wait to have it done. My Dr has suggested that I may be able to have it done on the NHS for free in England, but it would mean seeing a dietician & being put on a diet at first! Blimey, I could tell the dietician what to do standing on my head. As with you all I've tried everything ever diet, pill and potion ever invented!!!! So I'm going private and having it done abroad as its half the cost than it is in England! Will keep in touch with everyone and let you know how i go on
