    Under 200 pounds!

    I DID IT! this was my second goal.. and ive reached it. now all i gotta do is take it home to 160 and i have done it. this is the first time since i was 13 that i have been under 200 pounds thats almost 10 years. im soo happy i love this band! i started at 296.. then may 21st of 09 i was 275 that was my surgery.. im not 199! IT FEELS SOOOO GOOD!
  3. the biggest part about the first month for me was will power. you need a lot of it. all i kept in the back of my mind was do i want this to work. do i want my band to slip. if you do over eat or eat foods that are too tough in the first month it can cause you band to slip cause it not healed yet. thats why you have to be soo careful. and your in band hell.. you have to wait for a fill to start feeling any restriction. but right now i would tell you to fight through the hunger. stick to the plan the dr, gave you. i was one liquids for 2 weeks and mushie for 2 weeks. think that the suffering now will pay off later. stick with it i know is hard but itll be over b4 u no it!

Normally itll be like 3 weeks. cause i had to go to get blood work done 2 weeks prior. then had to go to this course with the nutritionists it was like a 2 hours long thing you sit there and get told what you can and cant eat and pills you shouldnt take.. a whole long thing.. soo thats prolly about how long itll be 3 weeks

  7. the only thing i guess i can say i cheat with is i dont ever use light mayo.. eww i hate it lol. soo if i have tuna salad i use the real deal lol. i wont comprimise with that. but i work out 4 to 5 days a week. and i bust my ass in the gym. i just dont wanna start cheating bc then i no itll lead to more cheating and im lovin my results and i dont really miss any of the bad foods. soo im happy.. and im from new york.. love it here. wouldnt wanna live anywhere else. im like 30 minutes outta the city soo its great. what bout u

  8. lol yes i no where your coming from im a broke broke college student. and its def helped my wallet not eating that much but i dont really eat anything.. i prolly could handle anything but i only eat protien fruits and veggies.. im strict. and if you havent guessed by my name im meagan lol

  10. i cant handle a lot.. i only have 3ccs in a 10cc band. i have 1 put in at surgery. i was fine then i did 2 more fills 1 cc each time. i feel good. and i have restirction and when i start to feel hungry too fast ima go get another fill. i think everyone is very different.

    1 cup of food.. i dont no if thats enough.. it also depends what your eating.. are you eating enough protien and veggies.. and are you getting enough calories in, in just that 1 cup of food??? i would most definetly take a better look at wut your eating and maybe you should talk to ur doctor.

    I still go out to eat.. just need to make smart choices.. and i def still go to the bars. sometimes i dont drink and sometimes i do. and i only drink like 1 or 2 times a month and i have gotten drunk since surgery, doesnt take too much be careful. you still gotta have fun!
  13. hey well 61 is great. i have lost almost 90, i was stuck at 75 for a while but it finally went down. ALMOST UNDER 200.. CANT WAIT

It is soooo worth it. its by far the best thing that i have ever done in my life and i wouldnt go back for a second. yeah you have to make some changes but i do not have trouble with food. they say like pineapple can get stuck cause itsfiburous like very stringy. and grapes cause of the skin. but those are my 2 favorite fruits soo i eat them. and they dont give me any trouble at all.. they also say things like nuts or dry fruit but i dont eat that stuff anyway so its all good. and of course if your doing this you wanna be smart i havent had bread for 5 months, and i no some ppl eat it i just choose not too. i eat mostly protien fruit and veggies and yogurt. and i occasionally have peanut butter thats it. i dont snack and i dont cheat. no cake chips cookies. ive gone a long time without it i dont crave it at all anymore. and i was a big sweets person b4 now fruit really stops my cravings for anything sweet. and really veggies i have no problem with either. of course everyones different but you will be able to eat most fruit and veggies. and def lots of protien you will also be on lots of vitamins like calcium and a multi so you do get your nutrients. anyway i would do it. i love my life now. good luck!!

    I did low fat ricotta cheese with a lil low fat mozz cheese melted then i put some tomatoe sauce in it yummy.. it was like zitti without the pasta..

    Water with meal

    hey .. yeah it def takes some time to get used to. just dont have any beverage near you while you eat , cause we have that instinct to just grab it. and you wont be tempted. also drink before you eat like at least a good 20 minutes then eat.. and afte ryou may feel thirsty for like 10 minutes but that willl go away.. its really not that bad i promise. you def get used to it. and trust me its worth the annoyance cause u dont wanna wash your food down.. goodluck!

    Confused!

    Hey i would say your only plateaued for 2 weeks. thats not bad id stick with what your doing and give it like another week or 2.. and if your doing 1000 cals a day id switch it up.. one day take in like 1200 and another 900. and switch up your diet a lil dont eat the same foods allthe time. you dont need to consume too much more to get out of starvation mode just by eating at different tmes during the day and fluctuating the amount of calories you take in a day should help to kick start it again.. also when you work out you doo gain muscle soo your body might be adjusting to that now. but its good cause ur loosing inches maybe not the scale,.. def give it some more time. goodluck!

Yeah its def normal to be tighter in the morning i am a lil tighter in the am dso i have yogurt but im fine by lunch. maybe since your only doing shakes and yogurt almost the whole day your not getting enough calories. youshould be getting about a 1000 a day. and if your doing yogurt and a shakr that may only be like 300 calories for the day and then dinner youd have to consume 700 thats a lot in one meal. i would try to find a way to loosen you up in the afternoon. drink more water b4 lunch. and try to eat solids just slow down and chew very well soo it ccan go down without a problem. and also if you havent lost any weight in 2 months u def hit a plateau. but if your working out a lot you could be justgaining muscle and getting toned, anyway good luck keep workin at it.
  20. reading your message made me really upset. i love the band and i no that its hard sometimes but u have lost a lot of weight. and your working out 6 days a week! your gaining muscle thats why you proly havent lost much and think about it.. its good that your not loosing too much while you work out bc that means its working. ur getting more toned. you may not see it now but if you didnt work out and you lost weight you wouldnt look soo good when you were thin. but being you work out your body is gonna look 10xs better then if you didnt. and bypass i have seen failed soooo many times. ppl drop the weight so fast that it goes back on right away. and you cant have any sugar like ever again wth the bypass. and now there is a surgery to help bypass patients loose weight again cause there is such a high percentage of ppl putting weight back on. i hope that makes you think a lil more negatiively about bypass and better about the lap band, it may be coming off slow but its coming off dont gve up.. dont go back to ur old ways you can do it. trust me you can!
  21. ok well i have had a kidney stone on both side.. one i got blasted the other i gotta deal with. its horrible horribe pain and it tends to travel you will feel the pain kinda moving as the stone passes through you. i had an attack while i was in jamaica on vaca and had to go to the hospital OMG HORRIBLE! i cried to my mom if i need surgery im gonna die. lol anyway if its a urinary thing you should no right away the test for that is fast they can usually tell ou right away. and if you knok that out go get the scan for the stone and find out. cause ill tell you if it is one and they can blast it for you do it bc the attcks will come and they will suck! ohh and my urologist told me that one cause of them is a crash diet! goodluck ps. lots of pain meds!
