oops guys I thought you watched a different video. I just looked at the URL not the actual video. Baby why do you think they look like they don't know what they are doing. I thought they looked very experienced. Kay. i haven't been online in a while i have been studying for finals, 3 down 2 to go. Goodluck with yours.

Here is a link to another online lap band surgery. My doctor is shown here preforming it. http://www.or-live.com/BrighamandWomens/1372/ It's very informative.

I had my pre-op vist today. I am sooo excited I gained 5 pounds since my last vist so i really have to get strict with my self now. All in all it went well but i made a mistake with my meds I told the doctors that i was taking claratin for my allergies but i am taking allegra, I changed and forgot about until i came home and went to take the medicine. So i will call them tomorrow i feel so stupid about that, but i guess it shows that I'm human.

same here, it's sooo annoying!
-
laurend I know that it must have been very annoying to you, but can you imagine the agony that poor girl is going through if she is bugging you so much to find out her grade. maybe her lab grade means the difference in failing or passing the lec. component. Finals are a time of a great number of nervous breakdowns, so much so that many schools have free psyc. screenings with great prizes for student that participate. I know it is very annoying but try to put yourself in her shoes. Goodluck with your finals.

Ma has a similar law and I think it is the best thing ever. Sure it may be upsetting to smokers but if it prevents people from getting cancer I am all for it. I wish we could get a national band on smoking in the workplace.
-
That's great! I am glad to hear that you are feeling better.
-
When were you banded? It could be a reaction to any meds that you are on.

If Victoria's Secret has your size i would also suggest the body by victoria full coverage bra. Get the one that has the lightly shaped cups. It's my fav bra. At lane bryant i can never seem to find a size that fits me, i have the sales assoc. help but everytime i walk away empty handed. It seems that in their line the cup size increases as the band size does. So if you fit into the b cup when its a 38 band but you want say a 42 band that B cup has suddenly become enormous. They seem to think that all big women have big breasts. Goodluck in your quest for the perfect bra!

is the lab grade counted towards the lecture grade or is it seperate? At my school the lecture is 3 credits and lab is one. Is this your first time teaching a lab?

Stop having so many damn kids; population control, anyone?
Ariel replied to Sunta's topic in Rants & Raves
weird religious people do scare me. I am not talking about one religion in particular but rather people that take religion to the extreme. Religion is good for people but it is when it consumes them then i have a problem. -
See your doctor. You might need to go on meds

wow you guys are harsh! I know that sometimes it must be very difficult to teach college students but it seems to me that you shouldn't be a professor unless you want your students to succede. College, especially freshman year is a very trying time. For most of these kids it is their first time being away from home, they have to deal with fiting into a new school, a new roomate, a whole new system of doing everything. To top that off the demands of the school work is soo much more than it was in highschool. Now I am not saying to let them off the hook but I just want to remind you guys that freshman year is difficult, and sometimes all that is needed is a little encouragement. I guess what I am trying to say is try to find a balance between strict and compassionate.

I just love it in the begining when they show the people that are really bad. I think it sooo funny. After that and the singers get good i stop watching.

Ariel replied to beversman's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
stephc don't you just hate it when the home scale says one thing and the doctors scale says another. And to make it worse the doctor scale usually has me weighing more. =( I can't wait for the day that i am not scared of scales because i know i will be at a healthy weight. -

wow i can not believe that women on the other thread. Beversman you come across as a smart, reasonable and kind woman. While she is rude, sarcastic and angry. Don't let her get to you. If you read her other posts she is always so nasty. Ladies and gents it is almost december!!!! I am getting soooo excited!! As i see the ticker counting down i'm starting to get nervous. -
and thats why i'm blue. lol
-
sweethot that is so disappointing, but you have the right attitdue. We have spent our whole lives fat what is a few more weeks. I hope that you get everything squared away quickly. Goodluck! KayDotRN i see that you are getting banded at BIMDC. I am getting banded at brigham and womens. Are you from MA? I'm from Boston. Goodluck with your surgery and i'm sure you pre op dieting will pay off.
-
Sorry it has taken me soo long to respond. I am 5'5. I really hope that we can both get down to 140. That would be soo great! I am getting really excited Dec. is almost here. My doc. does not require a liquid diet but i am contemplating doing a few days of part liquids ( 2 shakes and 1 meal) I want the surgery to go as easy as possible. And to top that off i wouldn't mind losing a few pounds pre op. What are you guys doing? And does you doc require you to lose weight pre surgery?

If this is for a lifetime how often do you have to go to the Dr
Ariel replied to speck's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
My doctor said about every 4 weeks during weightloss and once a year during matinence. I guess it will be a relationship for life. -
which hospital are you going to? I'm at brigham and womens and during the seminar the financil adivor said if any one got denied they would work with them. I'm sorry to hear that they denied you last minute that it pretty bad. Goodluck with the appeal.
-
Yeah start off with the treadmill and from there work your ways up. Maybe you could set it up so you could watch TV while you workout. Goodluck!!
-
I don't have any ideas where you could get a filll but just to save you some time I will be banded at Brigham and Womens and they made it very clear in the seminar that they will only work with patients banded in the US. Goodluck finding a doc/hosp.
