  3. Wow! You look fantastic! Please share your secrets. I was banded July 2009 and seemed to have stalled at a 35 lb loss and I have 8.75 cc in my band.

  4. Thought I would check in. 32 lbs done with 60 to go. Been a little lazy on the exercise front, must get back on track. Thanks for the encouragement from my friends!

    Check In!

Hello all! I was banded 7/22 and have loss 25 lbs. so far. Was doing really well on mushes, fish and chicken until constipation reared it's ugly head. Causing pains & mumbness in my left side and sensitive nerve endings. My doctor says it is common in some people and should get better soon with a laxative and warm compresses. I have been walking since the day after I got home and think that has really helped. Glad to hear everyone is doing so well, but we must remember that all of our bodies are different and we heal and lose at different rates.
  7. I love Bautista as well. I'm doing well ... 24 lbs so far. Still sore on the port side and a few "mystery" pains. On soft foods now which is wonderful. I work with Mya too. She has ben a big help. I'm sure I'll have lots of questions as I go along, thanks for offering to help. Take care!

  8. Hey!! Wow, you're right, it is nice to finally see someone who also had Dr. Bautista. I think he is great. I've had no complications related to the surgery and the weight is coming off slow and steady! I've had to get used to the slow and steady! I've been too lazy to keep up with exercise though, but am determined to do better in that area. I was still quite sore one-week post op but to this day, I've not regretted my choice. Hope you are doing well, and if you have any questions as you go along the way, I'm here to help!! Are you working with Mya or Jeanine at the doctors office? I'm with Mya. I'm going back in for fill #2 this week.

  9. Congratualations on your surgery. Now comes the courting period with your band. lol

I was just cleared for mushies today. Scrambled eggs never tasted so good!!!

  14. Hi, I live in Richmond and was banded by Dr. Bautista on 7/22. I am thrilled to find someone here who also had him. How are you doing? I am one week post band and have lost 21 lbs (16 pre-op).

Any other July banders doing low carb?

I have been on low carb since 2 weeks pre-op. While I am totally sick of the shakes, I see the benefits. I think I will be able to start the mushy stuff tomorrow after my 1st post-op appt., but my dietician still wants me to do a shake a day and maintain the low carbs.
