    Now 153. modest loss.
  5. I'm 13 pounds from my original goal, but now I think I am going to create a new goal. I've lost 62 lbs total, but I want to lose maybe 30 more.

Now, I'm down to 158, but really I am thankful to thedailyplate.com, not the band!

Congrats, you look terrifIC!!! I did end up getting a fill and now I am up to 6cc in my 10cc band. I also lost 6 more pounds since my last post, So, I am down to 175...almost down to the same weight before I put a lot back on.

Congrats to everyone! I have not had the time to do my fills and I guess that is my big problem. I went from 220 to 172 in about 6 months and didn't get a fill until I started to gain back weight. The fill didn't really do much. I gained more weight and went up to 194. Granted, I only had 2 fills this whole time and I am in the VG band which I understand you have to be a little more aggressive. I was embarrassed to go back to the doctor b/c of the weight gain, so I lost 14 pounds in the last month on a low carb/low calorie diet. I have an appointment to get an adjustment next Friday and hopefully I can get back on track. Currently, I have 5 cc in the large VG band and have little restriction right now. So, hopefully I will be re-committing myself to the band once again next week. I wish I could be a success story (by now) like everyone else here!

I think I understand what you are saying. I was talking to my boyfriend the other day and I said I can't get over the fact that I lost almost 50 pounds and none of my clothes fit. (clothes that I bought when I was fatter that I had planned on wearing when I lost weight) And I still look in the mirror and I still see the same "fat" person. I see the numbers on the scale, i see the difference in my clothes, but I just don't see it on me. I had to start taking side by side photo comparisons to see the difference. And when I think I look "FAT", I just look at the "before".

Thanks ladies! I am having a bad day today (and it is only 7:30am!!) and I really needed that. I don't know about anyone else, but does losing weight like this make people moody and depressed or what? I feel like my mental state is really in the toilet.

Hi, it's been a long time since I was here. My ticker said I only lost 17 lbs last time, and now I'm down 35. I am really starting to tell a difference especially when I look at photos. I look at myself (in pictures) and think "I almost look normal."

    Fill Centers USA

I have no idea, there is a questionaire you fill out and when I log into their site it says I am low risk under the assessment, when they callled me they told me I was high risk. I asked them how they figured I was high risk and they couldn't tell me, but added that looking at my records, they couldn't understand why I was high risk either. If you are high risk, you have to meet with one of their surgeons, if you are low risk, you can just go to the center. Like I previously posted, meeting one of their surgeons required a 1000 mile trip. Personally, I thought it was just a way to make more money off of me. And it is not practical. If I wanted to travel 1,000 miles, I would just go back to Mexico and get my fill done for free! I now know that I CAN get a fill somewhere else, even though they try to convey this message that you won't get any support if you got your surgery in Mexico. Also, their prices are higher than the price I will be getting from a bariatric center in my own town, which does fluoro...unlike fill centers usa. Like MySjerriJo said, call around, seach the net, etc. I felt like they were my only opportunity besides going back to Mexico. Believe me, a doctor/hospital near you will be more than happy to take your money

    Fill Centers USA

I filled out an application at http://www.fillcentersusa.com/ they told me I was high risk, even though on their online assessment I scored a 2 - low risk. Go figure?!?! They said I would have to be seen by one of their surgeons, the closest being about 1000 miles from my house. I felt like this center was suppose to be helpful for people to find support near their area? It made me feel hopeless, especially since the website tries to relay the idea that most doctors will not see you if you got a band in a foreign country. Finally, I called all the bariatric centers in my area (St. Louis), and there were several that welcomed me (with decent rates too!) I have an appt on wed. I just wanted to let others out there know, you can probably find help close to home.
