    Im sad and frustrated

    How are my fellow March 09 Patients? Sad nothing has changed since my last post. Its been 2 years since my last fill. However i have only gained 2lbs since then. But i never reached my goal weight. I am still at 187/186... I fell off the wagon... I couldn't afford to get fills anymore. it was just a bad time. But since i lost my job,, i have nothing but time and decided to focus back on me and my goal 130lbs... i went to get a fill,,,, and low and behold i was too tight... explains the reguritations, hrtburn, pain and no weight loss( plus bad food choices). But i didn't start these issues until after i had my hysterectomy... in which unbeknownst to me... i was supposed to have my fluid extracted for unrelated surgeries..oopps.. but oh well... moving forward.. i am on a liquid diet for 3 days , today is day 3--- looking forward to soft foods tomorrow...and kinda scared to have solids again... and thats bc when i went for my fill, in the xray, you could see the sausage still stuck.. and believe me i felt it.. i had eatn it 21/2 hours before my visit.. So no more sausage for me.... No more excuses. i have all day to put in at least 30 mintues of exercises.. and i am gonna try to get out there and cut the grass and do more yard work. I need to be more active. i just need motiviation.. hopefully this visit i had and my true results video is pushing me that way... I want it .. i really want it...     Good Advice on the Protein, I have to admit. I only do my protein drinks/shakes after a fill. So i will surely up it and see if that helps. Thanks for sharing

    I get frustrated too, My weight stands still until my next fill. This last fill i had on Tues.07/21/09 (my 4th) 1.20 cc was put in and i felt more immediate restrictions. The next day I went to the Dr. and had lost 3lbs. That was a shock b/c all month i had only lost 1lb from the fill before. But I am excited that I am not gaining weight, so that is a plus and keeps me looking forward. The Doctor is pleased also w/ my results... We just have to be patient and let it happen slowly and do our parts in making healthy choices and exercising.

    Hello, I am right there with you guys. Surg on 03/11/09- 204 and For the last month i was at 185-187, and like you i went to get a fill ( i am now to 6.2cc ) this last visit was the 1st time i felt immediate restriction w/ drinking water in the waiting room. I loved it, and that was just last Tuesday I got my (4th)Fill and weighed in at 186,, went to the Dr. Wed. and weighed in at 183... and today Saturday I am 181... and i already know i am going to struggle to hit under 180... i guess thats the wrong attitude but thats just how its been going. I am going to up my work out to 1 hour a day for 4 days for the next two weeks and see how it goes.. But i am happy that my numbers aren't going up.. down and steady , slow and sweet,,,, I will take it, and thank the good Lord for it. Good luck to everyone... i will check back with you guys.

    Angry with shallow husband since Lap

    MaryRose, I am right there with you. I have lost about 30lbs and I get compliments, and its followed by what does hubby say?... and you know what he never says anthing, but I don't hold that against him. He's the smart man and has always played it safe, and never comments. I can Ask does this or that look better and he will be honest. Or I have to make a comment like " dang look these pants don't fit anymore" he will say "thats good babe your doing good". but he never initiates a comment. I am ok w/ that. We have been married 12 years and we have never had a bad bedroom relationship, no matter how much i weighed. i guess he really loves ME.. and i love him too.

    Low Carbing

    I gave up all my carbinated drinks When I started my journey, I did replace it with Tea, i like the Liptons Diet Green Tea, and Crystal light Fruit Punch,,, even my kids have learned to stop drinking sodas. They didn't have a choice really cause i Stopped buying it..... But you can do it- it is do-able, and many have done it. You will too. Good Luck.

  14. My Doc has me on High Protein. I like the UNJURY Chocolate, Vanilla, Sorbet also their Chicken Soup is really good. those i recommend. Before these i was using Herbal Life, they have a Chocolate and Vanilla that has has 27g of protein- its much more chalky tasting than the Unjury- The unjury have 20g of protein and I do not get tired of drinking them.

    Feeling Better About Myself

    Wow its been about a week since i have logged on. So I didn't get to diary my food choices. I have been very busy and didn't not GYM work out once this week. But thats okay i still did my morning Squats and arm exercises, which make me feel really good. This last week i finally put my scale away.. I was weighing everyday, and getting frustrated w/ my self. I decided to pay more attention to how my clothes fit and how i feel. You know I got so many compliments this last weeek. From people i haven't seen in weeks to my co-workers i see all the time. and that is WHAT make me feel GOOD, not the number on the scale. I thought i was to have a fill this last MONDAY and it not until 6/8 and I am not weighing myself until then. I have been in Bansterhell. I sure have been craving lots of sweets. But i find that Walmarts, Cajun Trail Mix, hits the spot with me. Its late I have got to go and get some Rest for my George Strait Concert tomorrow in the new Dallas Cowboy Stadium... I so EXCITED:thumbup:....

My Doctor recommends 5 days of liquid after a fill, and 7 days of mushies before going back to solids... however I do 3-4 days of liquid and 3-4 of mushies, then my solids until my next fill, which is next week. I have no restrictions right now, I still eat slow and chew like heck, but I can just about clean my plate. I can't wait for my fill, i am excited to have restrictions again..

    My Doctor said, crunches or any abdominal excercise should not effect the stomach/Band. I think its said that there are no muscles in the stomach so it should not affect your band.
  19. Thanks Xavier for your comments about Doing better now than back in the "old Days", cause you are so right, You know Yesterday I Sold tamales at work for my sister,, and I didnt have not one. They were nice and hot and smelt so good. and i remember a Time i would sit and eat a whole dozen- like popcorn, man what a pig i used to be... So thanks for letting me sit back and look at the Old Days. I never want to be that way again.

    Time for me to Blog

    saturday 05/30/09--(wow end of the month already) Friday morning, i did better-- breakfast 7am I had an unjury chocol.shake, it was much better than the Herbal Life one,that i was normally drinking... For Lunch(11:30am) i had a grilled ham and cheese on Wheat- For dinner(6:30PM) smoked turkey and beans-.. I need a fill, i find my self just about cleaning my plate, I go next week, I am really looking forward to it. So after dinner, wait let me say this.., I have good and bad news. Bad news is at work I entered the Biggest Loser Contest- I weighed in Tuesday,,, and I did not win the big 880.00 pot. It was split b/w 2 people who lost a total of....... 28lbs.... Darn it that I didn't win, I lost 27Lbs, however good thing is those that lost at least 8% got to split the other 880.00--So after we ate dinner, we went shopping to make Mamma feel better, and bought me new SHOES, it was good for it to be about me. My husband looked but didn't buy, the kids were annoying at the store but that never changes, they chase each other, hit back and forth and then one gets angry and the other is laughing... anyways back to me.. No one else thought they needed any, it was fun to get their opinion and feel worthy of getting something I earned..... after shopping we went to my sisters house. normally the "party house", where i used to consume mucho cerverza...But i stopped drinking beer back in October to prepare myself for the band.... We went and played Darts, it was a lot of fun, I always thought Darts was boring, but not the way they play. oh and I didn't take my own drink, so i had a Diet DP, normally i do not drink carbonated drinks, it pretty much watered down, and it just wet my whistle, i had that and a couple of hand fulls of Cashew nuts.. I had a Very Wonderfuld day. Thanks Be to God.... I have to get busy Cleaning house and get to Church for rehersal.

    Time for me to Blog

    This morning, I have decided to blog and maybe it will help me to do better for myself. I let myself eat things and shouldn't and I need a change. My 2nd fill was on 05/11, and since then i have lost 4lbs. Let me tell myself what i ate yesterday... Breakfast(7am), i had yogurt w/ strawberries and Granola, and water-which isn't a bad choice, i just need to stick to low fat. . Lunch(11:30), i had Turkey w/ Dressing--okay i had gravy too, that was so a bad choice. no drink until i got back to my desk, and continued w/ my 32oz of water i had that morning. About 2PM i had Liptons diet green tea(Had drank all my water). No Snacks, got home(4PM) and had left over grilled pork ribs-like two bites the country style no bone, with mustard...Went and bought some groceries, my son was having a field trip to day, had to get stuff for a sack lunch. Then ordered Pizza for dinner and ate just the topping of a thin crust ham/mushrooms/black olive pizza- believe me i tried to eat the crust, but i couldn't- took one bite and the pain hit. so i stopped and just stuck w/ the topping. Then i made sandwiches for the kids for lunch cleanned the kitchen, did a load of clothes and straightened up my room. Sat and watched my Y&R and 2 episodes of Couger that i recorded then went to bed(9:30PM). Wait... i did attempt to do 4 push ups. i layed there i did leg lifts in the bed. Here I am awake at 4AM. I am going to fold the clothes in the dryer, and getting ready for work. I will be back in the AM to confess my day.
