  3. Does any one knows of any bariatric doctor specifically for Lab Band Fills taking Americhoice?, also that can take patients whom had surgery overseas, but that have been filled by another doctor in the United States. I have been struggling, have found one doctor (Dr. Franklyn Vasquez), to whom I was recommended by my Primary and Gastroenterology Doctor, but he refused to even give me a consultation, as I I have my surgery overseas, I have the feeling that some Surgeons are not compassionate, at least they can take the time to give you a detailed information as to wheter they can follow up with you or not, but not just refuse to take you cause they have not make your surgery. If anyone knows a doctor that can be of help, and that can take Americhoice I would highly apprecite, as I am really in need of a new fill, I have gained 20 pounds since my last fill. I thank everyone for your kindness and consideration to this matter.
  4. Thank you for your reply. I have tried that, and have not find anyone, they do not give you much information, I even have my primary Doctor Referred me to a Gastroenterology, he then referred me to Doctor Vasquez from Clifton Weight Loss, and I was told by his Receptionis, Dr. Vasquez, whom is a Lap Band Surgeon under my Health Insurance Network that he does not take patients whom have been Lap Banded Overseas, even when I explain I have all my records from my surgeon, and even have the revision from the gastroenterologist, they have refused to take me. There is not many compassion when it comes to doctors, they just seen an Overseas Lap Banded Patient as a liability. and I am finally running out of faith this will ever work out for me. But any way, I thank you very much for replying to me. Belkys Santos

  6. I was lap banded back on August 11, 2009, first I lost from 2045 pounds to 194, actually I am starting to gain weight, and am 220, unfortunately have found no help, even when I have Americhoice Health Insurance, been endoscopy texted (came back with bacteria on my stomach, severe gastritis and even Begining of Esophageal Barretts), I have not found a surgeon in northern New Jersey, even when my Gastroenterology Doctor has referred me to some Lap Band Surgeons in my area, they do not accept Overseas Patients. Can someone be so kind to give me some information, or tell me if there is any surgeon in Northern New Jersey able to take an overseas patient, whom has americhoice Health Insurance, whom primary doctor is able to refer mt to. I am desperate, and in urgent need of help. Please get back to me with some help, or surgeon information that I can use. Thanks
  7. Hi i read one of your post and wanted to know how was the surgery in DR. i want to go out of the country to do it since my ins. doesnt cover it here. if you could please let me know i would really appreciate it.

    thanks

  8. Your welcome. One thing I tell my co-worker when she says she's eating more than 4 oz. I tell her to enjoy her food now. It's ok to have up to a cup a meal. My doctor said it wouldn't strech my stomach. And the reason I tell her this is because, with the 7.7 cc fill, it's hard to enjoy my meals. I feel the restriction from the very 1st bite (pea size bites). Also, it's ok for your calerie intake to be about 1200 a day. Good luck : ) K.I.T. - Would like to hear how your doing.

  9. Thank you very much for your tips, and I am hoping to be scheduled for a fill in here in the USA, hope when I get a new fill things will be much better. Thanks again.

  10. Thank you for your comment. I've been sticking to doctor's orders. I exercised my @ss off for 2 1/2 months straight. Right now I'm only walking a mile everyday, It's too hot. My eating habits have change tremendously. I started with 2-4 oz, then 1/2 cup and then 1 cup. I have a 10 cc band and right now I have 7.7 cc's. I have plenty restriction, so I"m pretty much back on 4 oz, if I'm lucky 3/4 cup every meal. Drink lots of water and substitute meals with protein drinks and vitamins. Tips: Be patient, the weight will come off, I promise. Our bodies all react differently to the surgery, some loose quicker than others, but in the end we have great results (if we use our tool correctly). I have a co-worker who was banded about a month ago, different doctor than mine, and has followed everything, but is also very frustrated because she's only lost 17lbs. She's beginning to notice the inches come off. Hang in there, the weight will come off.

  11. Hi dear, you have accomplished so much in so little time. can you tell me how and if you have any tips for me to follow, I just got banded on August 11, but have not lost that much, I am stuck in 204 and wish to speed up my weight lost. You look great, and in such a short period, you have lost more than 60 pounds. Please reply.

I will continue researching, as i really need to find this information. Thank you for giving me the information and the reason i went overseas, was because i was non insured in the united states, and the cost was much less than here. All i am looking forward is if someone can provide aftercare follow up for this type of surgery in northern new jersey. Thanks again.
